  • Is Ed Booger Smith the best street ball guard ever? In my book he's top 3. Definitely a legend in the basketball bible whose name will live on forever. Why didn't he make the NBA?

If you just know how to base things off the eye test you can tell how ridiculous his handles were. The way this dude could break ankles out of a trap and then pass was crazy. If you look up the definition of 20 and 10 for a point guard his face would show up in the dictionary. They don't make em like him no more.

The problem with inner city ballers, they think "hood love" is better than being an actual professional bball player........that's our problem, whenever we make it out the slums........our first trip is to go back to the hood as if we're still trying to make it out.....the hood only loves you when you're struggling like they are.....but will be the first to murk you when you obtain success

Dudes got mad at Skip when he made it to the league. Alimoe was supposed to go to Fresno State with Skip, but he listened to niggas in the streets who weren't going nowhere and stayed in NYC. Alimoe spent the money for the plane ticket as well as room and board. He loved home too much. I was shaking my head because I loved his game. Booger actually wanted to go to the league, but didn't have the structure.

This is when LANDON"SONNY" COX was selling his players from KING H.S . SAME thing he did to RASHARD GRIFFIN who went to UW with FINLEY AND Tracy Webster but STU JACKSON and COX made that deal. @@southeastd.c5636 Exactly bro. Skip brought the entire hood out. When Skip came back to play in the And1 tour Main Event tried to fight him. They tried to say it was because Skip fouled Half Man Half Amazing too hard, but it was clearly an accident. The way they acted showed that it was deeper than that. I heard that Main Event was mad because Skip didn't help him get into the league, but Skip said none of them dudes ever came and asked him what they needed to do. They all waited for an opportunity to come, but never asked how to put themselves in position to get an opportunity. AO was the only dude who asked Skip what he needed to do and Skip helped him. I will say this though the And1 tour on ESPN ruined the rep of street ball with Hot Sauce and had people thinking that street ball was a joke and even a separate sport. Volume 1 with Skip and Soul in the Hole both showed how real streetball was played. They just combined flare with the real mechanics of basketball. On the And1 tour with Hot Sauce cats let him do what he did. In real streetball niggas won't letting you do nothing.

The best hoopers never make it to the league. Like y’all amazed at how steph and dame shooting from deep that’s regular basketball in New Jersey. Someone’s uncle who hasn’t touched a ball in 15 yrs will pull up from the hash mark on you here that’s what we do. Dajuan Wagner had a short stint in Cleveland on the cavs right before LeBron got there he’s from Camden nj he was doing that in high school shooting from beyond half court not to mention he 100 point game mostly all half court threes. They tried trapping him a the half court line he started shooting before he got to the trap. Not to mention look out for his son he is definitely on the way he is in high school now dajuan Wagner jr you heard it here first.

Best? Nah, im not elite, thats my big homie & I used2 work him out. But Boogs was too little as special as he was. U had Junie Sanders, Kareem Reed, Shamgod, Charles Jones, June the Show, Ed Cota & Mook, all guards that was just better sized than Ed except mookie. But Booger was the 1st And1 logo then came Skip2myLou. Shout 2 Kenny Kings. Boogz once told me he had a workout with the Hornets but didn't have his iD to get on the plane.. Smmfh. All respect to the Fort Green legend.
