🏆🏆I'm really glad you enjoyed A Tale of Two Cities! It's one of my favourite classics and also my first Dickens! Sadly, all the other books of his I've read were quite disappointing😔

I got through Oliver Twist, Nicolas Nickleby, The Pickwick Papers, A Christmas Carol (which was good), Bleak House (dnfed) and one or two more, but I don't remember the titles now. I'm definitely not giving up on him, but after my first experience of loving A Take of Two Cities I just can't help being underwhelmed with his other works

@@throneofpages I will physically and mentally go crazy if i read for more than 6 hours a day LMAO.And i recommend alice’s adventures in wonderland +alice through the looking glass.Both of them are pretty short and they are classics BUT they are middle grade classics so writing is not confusing.One thing weird though is alice keeps talking to herself out loud lol.

At my worst, my phone usage a day average was 10+ hours (and that being mostly social media like Twitter and Facebook, not even watching youtube). I had a BIG problem, lmfao! It's dropped now, though and looks more like your hours which imo is not that bad; it's mostly productivity apps and discord now :P

for one, i love this idea of a challenge! you are certainly not alone with having the need to always pick up your phone (calling myself out lol) you’ve definitely inspired me to try to do this as well. during your weak moments, you still pushed through and i congratulate you for that. but don’t be so hard on yourself when you’re trying to read in 6 hours, that’s a lot! don’t feel pressured because of the camera. listen to your body and take that needed break to watch Gilmore girls!! haha. i love your honesty, it’s so hard to find genuine people to watch and enjoy their content. thank you for sharing, and you did awesome girl!! 🎉❤

Well done for getting through this challenge! All year I’ve been making a conscious effort to pick up my book rather than my phone. I’m still averaging just over 3 hours of screen time a day so there’s more improvement to be had!

🏆 I loved this reading challenge! I would love to see you do this kind of challenge again where it makes you more motivated to read the books you want to read but are intimidated by! I have a toddler so I can’t do this challenge at the moment but it’s making me want to take an hour of my evenings to dedicate to reading since I haven’t been prioritizing it recently. Thank you for the motivation!
Oh my god! Yes, let’s talk about page to minute ratio, because I could read a YA novel in 30 seconds to the page but it’s taken me an average of 2-3 minutes PER PAGE to get through The Secret History by Donna Tartt. It’s such a dense book that it is so taxing on my brain to read for soooo long and see that I’ve only gotten through 40 or 50 pages 😭💔 I feel you on that. That’s why I have to space out my classics, because if I read them back to back, I just get burnt out.
Damn, I wish I could read anything that fast, even if it's a ya novel it still takes me 2-3 minutes per page. If I could read as fast as her I would get so many books done 😭

Whenever I see people being ashamed of showing their screen time and then it s like 4-5 hrs I think " you spent ONLY 5 out of 24 hours on your phone ? Mine sometimes reaches double digits 😁 I guess THIS is a problem.
I can totally read 6 hrs, maybe not continuously but it s duable
Also remember: you AREN'T the problem; you may HAVE a problem, and it s ok as long as you acknowledge it and try your best to overcome it

I don't get the hype - maybe the ending is it?) and "before the coffee gets cold" - kind of cute, but still also don't get the hype. But I'm going to try to finish those two and then.. I dont know if you decided to pick one up yet, BUT Throne of Glass is my favorite series, by her and in general. Its more high fantasy where Crescent CIty and A Court of Thorns and Roses are more romance. I have not read Crescent City, but even so, I highly recommend TOG.
