- 2020 marks the 50th Anniversary of VAQ-129, the Electronic Attack Fleet Replacement Squadron that began developing America's EA-6B Prowler aircrew in 1970, and now is responsible for training the US Navy and Royal Australian Air Force's EA-18G Growler communities. Once again, this year's video showcases the latest and greatest footage from all US Navy VAQ squadrons in Whidbey Island, WA and Iwakuni, Japan, as well as the RAAF 6th Squadron.

EA guys have to be so happy that they aren't flying the Prowlers any more. No more 3g limit, no more worries about 4.5 bearing eating itself, no more 25 hour oil samples. No more holes in the heat shields around the engines being repaired over and over again. Their new jets have a HUD, and afterburners!

Friends with a crew chief who retired when the last Prowler squadron transitioned at Cherry Point and can confirm. He called it a flying history museum. His relationship with the airplane went from love to love/hate some time after 2003.
It really was a blessing. I was part of the transition in 2013 but won’t deny that I will always have a soft spot in my heart for the EA6B

I work for a contractor, and I've had on-and-off involvement with the computers for the Super Hornets for almost my entire career. This gave me great joy to watch.

Fantastic vid, guys. I'm so glad the Australian Air Force gets to fly these incredible birds. Not only that but any joint training we get with the US is brilliant. Keeping that brotherhood and alliance alive is awesome.

Wow! The best aviation video I've seen. Numerous things I've never seen before. In cockpit camera during catapult launch, while showing another '18 launching off a different catapult. Way cool. The coolest. Congrats. MORE.

I used to buy disks of this kinda footage when I was little...only difference between this and the disks is they the disk had crappier footage and the edits weren’t nearly as good as these! Great job and thank you for your service!!!

Still hard for me to believe this is what my son fly's in! He's the "Navigator" I have a picture of him waving at us doing touch and goes while we were watching him last year on Whidbey Island... Couple months ago he was doing touch and goes off of an aircraft carrier! Sooo PROUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love seeing the RAAF Riverfire displays incorporated in these videos. Sad that I haven't heard any news of a display this year due to COVID 19. Hopefully we'll see them again in 2021. Always get goosebumps.
I grew up a half hour away from Whidbey and I loved seeing the growlers and Super Hornets I now live along one of there training paths and it’s awesome to see them ripping up and down the valley
