Thanks again for your candid opinion. It's one of the first on CZcams for this new product. I encourage you to do the same on everything from gloves to jackets because some of us don't know what we don't know because we're so new and we're surrounded by so many brands and marketing it's easy to get analysis paralysis lol. cool review man! I have an optrel panoramaxx CLT and a miller digital elite with clearlight 2.0. Both have incredible clarity but sadly not 1/1/1/1. My next hood is gonna be this one
Had an A50 a year ago. It worked reasonably well, but the shape of the cover screen meant, it got scratched really easily, and those screens are expensive. Changed it for a Miller, which is better optically, and doesnt have the stupid bubble cover lens,
That looks dope I have the a50 and it's a great hood but just got the miller infinity with the close view 2.0 and wow its amazing. The one and biggest thing I don't like about the a50 is the lens are very expensive and they melt easy. If the lens gets dirty it's super hard to see in. The a60 looks dope so maybe one day I'll grab one. Great video tho and I'd love to see what the clear lense looks like.
Good review pal,ive had speedglas most my welding life..but need a new mask, ive narrowed it down to the A60 or optrel. Its just the big glass visor they have thats holding back...looks like something id have to replace a lot...good review.

Dope review bro, I got the a50 but that 60 viewing area is nice. I mainly do tig welding of all sorts. Wonder how that hood will hold up to the extreme heats of structural steel. Put up the video of you welding, and how well it does. Did it come with the amber lenses too? 👨🏽🏭💪🏼
I just got one, installed the included batteries, and it won't even turn on. Is there a secret that I'm missing or did I get a bad one? Tried some energizer batteries and still nothing but I don't wanna do anything further that might void the warranty and ion wanna pay 350+ for a fancy looking fixed shade helmet 💀
Try to hold up the hood up to a room light or lamp and press the mode button. I think if it’s stored in the dark it’ll shut down to conserve overall battery life.
Overnight Yes but while working No. I think it is designed to help it from accidentally engaging the auto darkening aspect. I had it for almost four months now. It is holding up great and I can say it trumps my Viking 3350 and it is much better than the A50.

With a dim sleep, with a bright one it works and there are no problems. I don't understand why they did that. If it's not difficult, tell me again why she goes to sleep so quickly?
My working theory is they did that to conserve overall battery life and so it doesn’t accidental engage the auto darkening when not it use. The previous A50 hood would occasionally flicker with the slightest glimmer of light so maybe ESAB identified that and made a change to mitigate that flaw. I notice the a60 has better overall battery life. I’m still on full battery life from when I first got it and I weld a lot at work.
Hey why did u leave a-1 welding , I have the sentinal a60 I like the way the a50 fits better plus I like the digital output , but I just got the a60 so we will see how she performs, oh and I work at a-1 welding also with Caleb and Mr roy.

Would you recommend this hood over the Lincoln 3350? I have the Lincoln 2450 rn and I am looking at both.
