What is the BEST Rally1 Car - EA WRC 23

- So here in EA sports WRC 23, I saw a reddit post recently talking about this and i inspired me to see if there is an actually difference in the 3 rally1 cars. Disclaimer - I did only do a basic test and gravel as i thought the video might get to long if i did all 3 surface types, but if you would like a comparison then please let me know in the comments

I've never been able to get the I20 or Puma as fast as the Yaris. With the I20 in particular i've put in some real effort and never quite matched the Yaris
Yeah i Really struggle with the I20
That's mad, I kind of felt that the Toyota was better but not by that much. But like you said it could be because you are more comfortable with the Toyota than the others

I beat 2 seasons, one in the Hyundai and one in the Toyota, I feel the acceleration in the Yaris was better than the i20, the Yaris was also better in fast corners but it tends to slide everywhere compared to the i20, I think The i20 was quite stable and easier to drive, I feel like it didn't turn as fast, but I also didn't want to slide everywhere. But after mastering the car or finding a better setup, the Yaris was the fastest for me
It shows how diffrent people are I love the i20 and get among of these 3 cars the best times
if you tune preload ,gears and final drive your and set hybrid mode to aggressive and say.. you aren't exactly taking every hairpin with handbrake you can actually get hyundai i20 to 200 -217kmh on straight lines and the aggressive hybrid mode will help with some of the loses of acceleration due to gear ratio , but i do personally prefer ford puma overall
Nice video. I like the I20, playing career mode makes it easier to handle later on. Then i tried the ford, that sucked big time. Then i tried the Toyota, improved more than the ford. Overall I'm stuck between the Toyota and the I20. Looking forward to getting my EA WRC, hopefully in a week or so. Just playing my WRC 9 for now. And Gran Turismo 7.
I love the I20 i just can't seem to get up to pace in it, where as the Toyota after a few corners ill be at my maximum
I feel that it would be very difficult to establish a test that was accurate. There is too much randomness in any person's driving and the cars are so close that any true difference will be lost in the noise. You would need randomly gathered results from thousands of runs with as many drivers as possible to establish any sort of statistical significance. Even the largest 3.4 second difference here could easily result from a slightly different line on a handful of turns.
Do you have any tips for the rwd cars in this game. On default tunes atleast they feel very vague. Even on tarmac im never sure when the rear will grip or slide out and sometimes it feels like i spin out randomly
Also id love to see the wrc2/rally 2 cars ranked although that would be a much bigger project 😂
Certainly something i can look into, Will take me a few days to compile the data but shouldn't be too much of a task.
And as for RWD, the major thing is throttle control, i see the RWD cars like a F1 car being very gentle with the throttle. But that depends on weather your on controller or wheel, Controller will be a lot harder to get the throttle down, but not impossible. The setup thing i would say for tarmac especially these cars have a lot of oversteer anyway, So adding more to me doesn't make much sense.
So I'm going to assume your getting the random Spins coming out of the corner, For that You can try
- Softening the rear anti roll bar
- Decrease the Diff power locking (Front and Rear)
- Softening the rear springs
- Tarmac can be very bumpy so increasing your fast dampers
To cover all bases if you get oversteer on corner entry, then try these
- Stiffen Front Anti-roll Bar
- Decrease Front Toe Out
- Stiffen Front Springs
90% of Tarmac Stages The Ride Height Just Be at It's Lowest, Front and Rear.
Spring Rates Should be Generally Quite Soft. With Quite Stiff Anti-roll Bars.
Don't try and change everything all at once just to little adjustments For each Suggestion and when you have found out what works for you, move on to the next one.

yep im on controller so definitely a challenge. Feels much harder in this game than dirt rally though but ill give those suggestions a try. Thanks again!
I want to drive the Puma. But overall what i experienced over the months (with top setups) the Yaris is 0,2-0,3sec/km faster than the Puma. The i20 is 0,1-0,2sec/km faster than the Puma. So yes, the Yaris is overall the fastest car. Maybe there is a chance for specifiic rally's that the i20 or Puma are competitive, f.e. Puma is pretty good in Sweden. If you have to choose one car for a championship where you can't change the car each rally, you should go with the Yaris.
Can you please do the same with rally2 cars?
I will do this once i have more experience with the rally2 cars, If i was too do it now the results would vary far too much so the video wouldn't present very well. I wouldn't be able to give you an more accurate outcome.👍But it is in the pipeline as i found rally2 to be much more fun than i expected 😊
