Oliver is the proof of Omni Man’s redemption. That’s why he only exists in our universe.
Yeah. If Mark is evil in most universes, I doubt Omni-Man is not in like any other but our main universe. So it makes sense that Oliver only exists here.
Though it also could be that Angstrom doesn't know about literally each and every one of the infinite universes.

Though when it comes to multiverse, you can make sht up as you like, the main takeaway is to take the point that Omni-Man is good here. Getting to the technical stuff about infinite universes and if Oliver could exist in another is not really necessary.
Debbie is honestly one of the best parents in all of fiction. She's so real and exemplifies what a mom should be.

The "I thought you were stronger" panel in the comics is one of the first things I remember seeing regarding the franchise. Glad they did it justice here!
Despite Angstroms' portal powers and enhanced body, he was the most HUMAN villain Mark faced. And that's easy to forget because of how much damage he caused in the comics.
@@michaelbrowne3088 Yeah that's probably the only thing (besides the hiatus, which isn't the show's fault) about the second season I thought wasn't well done. We needed a lot more of Angstrom.

Sony only owns the rights to Spider-Man in movies, but Marvel can use him in shows as long as they don't use the suit/actor of the movies, that's why the suit and voice are different in What If. So Marvel could have signed off on having Spider-Man in this show. I wonder if they were approached or not.

Of all the Marks Angstrom could’ve tormented… he picked the one Mark who literally did NOTHING wrong.
This episode, to me, was THE MOST intense in every single way until now, just absolute greatness, I got chills with the future Eve telling him to tell her something down in the present so that she can move on.. I hope they do be together and It's sad and awesome to see how strong Mark is, because untill now he only shows his strenght when he loose control.
Throughout the series, all members of the Grayson family have a purple bruise on their right eye. Except for Oliver. And it's very funny
well to be fair Oliver’s *entire body* is purple, not just his right eye
Of course they get Josh Keaton to voice a Spider related character, also was not expecting a cameo of sorts from Batman! Which is ironic considering Caped Crusader is also gonna be on Prime Video at some point

The tension in this episode, knowing what happens in the comics this _still_ had me terrified.
I noticed myself that In the zombie scene you can actually see the grandma from season 1 that mark tried to save and then she yeah got a bit messed up
Really loved this episode. Kirrkmans writing, Steven Yeun's voice acting , the whole cast. Could have stayed in the dinosaur world. It was hilarious. Animation was top notch
I knew we where gonna get “Spider-Man” but “BATMAN”!!!!!????? And I freaking lost it when Mark pulled out the Fortnite sniper LMAO 🤣🤣🤣 love this show for a person who went into it blind, hoping to see the black and blue suit next season and Eve & Mark together as well
I love with what this season does regarding guilt. Mark is guilty of being like his father, for better or worse, Nolan is guilty for the lives he ruins and Debbie is guilty for not protecting Mark from Nolan and compensating with Oliver. Those wounds of season 1 truly didn’t heal, now they’re dealing with the burden of that trauma.
I never saw Debbie guilty of anything lol.
@@Uberstauffer she was literally drinking too much because she blames herself for what Nolan did. Even with that therapy group and getting close with that significant other of the dead guardians of the globe. She constantly felt for responsible for not knowing Nolan’s true intentions.

What Angstrom Levy did can never be justified and cannot be forgiven and he needed to die. But, as a fictional character and a villain, I like him because he has a good reason to be a psychopath.
No one person is equipped to take on thousands of versions of memories where the world goes through the "apocalypse" and his friends and loved ones are killed in front of his eyes in almost every one of these lives.
He was a naive and positive person who was lucky to have great power. But by mistake with his machine, he became an amalgamation of thousands of similar but beaten down by life people who all have trauma associated with the death of everything around them at the hands of Mark. It's a powerful fuel for a villain, that doesn't make him one-dimensional... or at least it's much better than one-dimensional villains usually get.
I think it can be justified. Forgiven is a different story but Levy is outright pitiable. You see what he could've been and it's obvious he needs help.

I mean, Mark forgave his father for fucking mass murder and his brutal beating. Levy is awful for what he did to Debbie but he’s traumatised, brain damaged, psychotic man. He needs psychological and medical help really.
The only problem was that he tried to stop it all and work on the machine on his own, if he let our dimension's Cecil know what he was doing and working on then they'd probably have let him carry on and not stop him and worked on it too. Maybe it was an ego thing that he never even considered telling people to help and wanted to do everything himself.

The Batman bit was almost identical to how Mark reacted to Spider-man's name in their crossover comic 😅
They did release season 2 when it was complete, they confirmed it themselves. The 3 months long pause happened because they wanted to do that for some reason, they even mentioned that they were already working on season 3 at the time. Was that a stupid decision? Yes, immensely stupid, there's no justification for it.
Hopefully season 3 won't take so long to get released then

You could argue Angstrom succeeded in his goal. Forcing Mark to lose control and kill him has probably caused this universe’s Mark more pain than he could’ve inflicted on any of the others.

Makes sense that Levy hasnt met Oliver in any other dimension, considering his birth hinges on Omni-Man abandoning his conquest of Earth, and Levy has seemingly only been to dimensions where Mark joins Nolan and helps conquer Earth.
I wonder how long mark was actually in those other dimensions, also I'm assuming they found mark after 20 years and they went back in time to get mark before he was changed. Because it sounds like they met him before that meeting.
Love that they got Josh Keaton to play Agent Spider.

25:06 I saw an interesting perspective on this, with Mark not being in a great headspace, and after holding back from telling/responding to Eve about her love, this line _could_ be interpreted pessimistically as “you don't deserve this [happiness/life/love/etc]”. Mark's reaction seems hopeful/appreciative, so I don't think this is what Mark took from this, but it is interesting to consider.
Yeah, that interpretation never crossed my mind. She clearly was trying to be there for him/get with him if possible.

Though thankfully Mark had gotten most of the stronger impulses/feelings out by then. The pessimitic take probably would have been what he took if someone had said that to him during his breakdown after beating Angstrom instead.
For all the number of characters with insane super powers...Debbie is the strongest character in this entire series
I went into this episode sort of expecting the epic event that springs right from the Angstrom storyline, but I was stumped by how they would manage to fit it in without glossing over the stuff that leads to it. In retrospect, I’m glad that they took their time and gave this storyline its due.
There’s some MAJOR shit on the horizon. And it keeps. On. BUILDING. Outstanding comic series, outstanding adaptation.

Viltrumite medical checkup must be a HR nightmare, just the cleaning bill for scrapping a dude off the ceiling alone must be terrifying.
The dimension where Invincible was sent to where he beats up 2 people near an overturned car looked like the Mad Max world a bit, but then I think they solidified that when they traveled to the dimension where Invincible is stuck because that world really looked like the Mad Max game world with all the debris around.

I love they included the Spider-Man crossover in the only way they could and the Batman bit was exactly like the comics. Loved this Finale. Hopefully S3 won't be too far away.

I stopped caring once he couldn't distinguish one reality's Invincible from another. He was lost and needed to be taken out. Yes he suffered in the other 99% of dimensions, but he was causing that same suffering in this one. I loved watching him get turned into a bloody pile of meat.
After this episode, it's undeniable. Debbie is the strongest character in the show. She went through all of this and Season 1, and she's still has not been broken mentally. I'm willing to bet that we would all fold if we had to experience a fraction of she's been through.

Wow, what a season finale Jesus he hurt Debbie and poor Mark. Man I can't wait until season 3, we'll it look like Robert Kirkman is gonna follow the invincible comic to all of you who wish for Mark and Eve relationship to grow into something more than just a friendship well it does. I won't say what's gonna happen between the two.

I’m not gonna spoil too much, but just so people know the Mark in the cape in the comics is known as “Sinister Mark.” Like Angstrom Levy said in almost all other universes Mark Grayson is an absolute piece of crap. But Sinister Mark… Sinister Mark is arguably the worst. All the other Mark Graysons to a degree still believe they are “doing the right thing” and are really just misguided in what they believe. But Sinister Mark is just straight up evil, and he knows it. He doesn’t do bad things because he thinks he has to, he does bad things because he WANTS to and enjoys watching people suffer. I won’t say anymore, but let me just tell you that when you learn the stuff he does it makes Nolan look like a Boy Scout.
I've been warned by those who have read the comics that it will get much worse, so I was anticipating nervously that both Debbie and Oliver will get kill in this finale. Phew!
So I think I figured out the issue with the multiverse concept, it’s too vast. Because the possibilities are literally endless people can come up with any prediction they’re capable of imagining. It doesn’t matter what they’ve seen previously because anything is possible. This leaves people who make predictions feeling let down when nothing they thought about comes true. I try not to create any predictions or expectations in my mind with anything I watch so I don’t accidentally get spoiled by my own prediction. That’s why I have not had any issue with any portrayal of the multiverse that I’ve seen.
