The song is literally moving the story along as they are travelling through India - Little Tibet (in Ladakh) so they are tourists but they are contrasting their two personalities....

True. The chemistry isnt there between them because she is dreaming and singing about a completely different guy who Shahid is helping her to meet in future. And as for Kareena, they wanted her to be the highlight of the song, letting her do what she does best, dance and express. If you see the movie, they show her other side and Kareena did a great job in emoting and carrying the scenes.
On that note Aaoge Jab tum song from the same movie. The tone and emotions do a complete 180 in it. Would love to see your thoughts on it.

You don’t understand the back story of the song. Shahid is helping her get to her lover. She’s excited to be seeing her boyfriend soon…

Yeah the song is a bit one dimensional and it’s my least favourite song of this movie. Other songs of the movie are heaps better. Accurate and great review as always 👍🏻

Kindly react to Jaya Prada and Sridevi's amazing 'joint snake dance' from the film "Maqsad" with amazing singing by Kishore Kumar. The song is 'Aa jao aa jao nagraja tum aa jao'. It's a 1986 film but the dance is mind-blowing - a must watch. Song 'Aa jao aa jao nagraja tum aa jao' from the film "Maqsad". Please don't miss.
