Huh- Honestly I almost expected a fourth phase- Don't get me wrong, that does seem like it'd throw a lot of things off- But most people seemed to hype this up as some nigh-unbeatable super boss. When really it's just an extended move set, the ability to summon mini bosses, and going from a relatively short two phase fight to a standard three phase fight. It doesn't even seem that the mini boss summoning would be too bad, so long as you got him out of phase one fast enough, since all his summons die when phases transition. I'm strategizing how best to go about achieving 32 heat ahead of time, so I wanted to see what extreme measures 4 was like before I got to it. I've played one through 3 before, so I think the 10 heat gained from EM is gonna be worth it- Now to just figure out where the other 22 will come from without metaphorically cutting my legs off...
You've probably figured this out already but EM4 Hades is actually much harder than normal. The last phase isn't just slightly different attacks. Hades is faster and you have less reaction time because of darkness. When going for 32 heat you add extra damage on top of that because of hard labor. Or at least most people will end up putting a point into it. And at least 1 point into forced overtime making him even faster on top of the already buffed speed. You can consistently beat the rest of the game in a breeze and then lose to EM4 over and over again.
Just found out about this hidden phase after 70 hours playing this game lol. I’m also shocked someone uses the bow successfully since I suck so much with it. I use fists or sword most often.
The build that I’m using is super broken cause if you use the bow that has homing special and have Dionysus on your special you deal major poison damage that stacks
You can get up to three through upgrades in the mirror, and during your run you might get to replenish one if you already lost one either in a well of Charon or through some gods like Athena. Patroclus also can refill your death defiances.
There are button to change alternative of each talents in Mirror of Night in front of their name. Death's Defiance alternative was to have extra 2. But how do you get through early game with just 1 revive per room lol thats gonna be rough

EM4 is where you get the full Omniman treatment.

How did you get extra lives? I thought Death's Defianct only works once?

You can use Skelly's tooth to get a 4th one.
@@janmarcoperezbatres2203 yeah, I prefer the free hits with the acorn though, I feel like it ends up saving me more health than the tooth would
