    EM4: The single most important piece of advice is to stay calm. It's an intimidating fight for sure, but Hades still telegraphs his attacks the same way as his base fight.
    The second most important tip is to never run Heightened Security unless you plan on getting Sure Footing to counter it. Those vases deal something to the tune of 150 damage under that pact which will always get you during the last part of phase 3. Pick up one rank of damage control instead.
    Hades will summon two mini bosses throughout phase one. Here's what I do depending on the boss.
    Giant gorgon: Priority. Focus her down, the projectiles are out of sync with the flow of the fight and tracking them is like playing chess with one hand and checkers with the other.
    Head crusher stone thingy: ignore, take Hades down. Charge your god gauge on it while Hades is invisible.
    Wretched sneak: ignore. Focus while Hades is invisible.
    Giant doomstone: priority. Those lasers and reflector skulls limit your mobility and that is unacceptable in this fight. I'd even blow a full greater call on it. Particularly good with Dio's call with bad influence for some dummy thicc damage.
    Butterfly ball: if I have an omnipresent revenge boon, ignore it until Hades vanishes then focus. If no revenge noon, priority. Those butterflies can melt health faster than expected.
    If I'm confident in my damage output when he summons the second batch, I'll ignore them entirely and finish Hades. As they all get destroyed when phase 1 ends.
    The most impactful change is that second spin. Keep in mind he telegraphs both spins with a wind up animation, a small circle outline flash, and a few frames of movement *towards you* and I stress that because between the circle flash and the movement frames is when you need to dash away. Because he always moves towards you and is locked in the direction and animation. So take your full dash count to the left or right. Then wait for the exact same telegraphs and then full dash up or down. You can dash in the same direction twice but I wouldn't recommend it. It's easier to misjudge distance, and you're more likely to put yourself in a bad position with terrain.
    When he does his 3 hit combo, he will generally spin for the third hit if you are base to base with him. If you dash far away by his second swipe, he will more than likely throw his spear. The spear throw is mechanically similar to the Aspect of Achilles as Hades will always travel in a straight line to the spear. Take advantage of knowing where he will be and lead your attacks. Even just reorienting yourself can be crucial, especially in phase 3 where losing sight of Hades could mean face tanking a few frames of laser or letting him heal for free.
    If you deflect the spear, he will always follow it. Regrettably, you cannot deflect Hades himself. Also, deflecting the spear will cause Hades to rush all the way to the other side of the arena, continuing even after retrieving it. This can be helpful if he is in front of a wall, as you will have several frames of him dashing and retrieving Gigaros in which to deal damage.
    Try and keep the fight around the pillars. Hades needs space to summon vases or shoot his laser, and if his model can't detect sufficient space it will begin to move back and forth until it finds room. This let's you get in some punishment and tells you he's about to start healing, summon vases, or shoot his laser, and you can position yourself accordingly.
    Just like with EM3 get a call that makes you invulnerable. For this fight I prefer Athena, Ares, Poseidon. Only because Athena's can allow you to more dynamically apply damage during his heal taking full effect of backstab, privileged status, and boiling blood. But Ares is still solid especially if you happen to be building around it.
    During phase 3 you may lose sight of Hades, especially after he goes invisible. He usually follows that up with an omnilaser, vase summon, or starting to heal. If you don't see him reappear, don't be afraid to hug a pillar for a second or two and confirm he isn't charging his lazar. If you have an ability which seeks such as Artemis cast, support fire, or the hammer upgrade for the Rail which makes attacks track foes, throw a few charges out and follow. Just be mindful of the dreaded orange line signaling a laser.

    For EM4 Phase 3, increase your screen brightness in Settings to the max! It helps a lot

  • @talleywa5772
    @talleywa5772 Před 3 lety +35

    EM3: The most important strategy I can offer for the Elysium EM fight is *HAVE A CALL THAT MAKES YOU INVULNERABLE* regardless of what your build is up to that point. Ares, Athena, Poseidon In personal order of preference (fun fact this also applies to EM Hades and his lasers/healing). The Bull beyblade and Theseus using that initial summon both present excellent opportunities for a greater call to be used and absolutely demolish them with impunity. The beyblade moves slowly and predictably towards you and Theseus just stands there like a dolt. I try to save the greater call for Theseus since it can often be enough to kill him.
    Focus Asterius first. He is more demanding of your action economy and can get you out of position far easier than Theseus. His damage is overall more forgiving since those bombs can rip 50hp off.
    The best tip for Asterius is to just stay calm and remember he is only a buffed version of his old move set for 90% of the fight. Don't overdo it with your dashes, attack him during his recovery animations, and take full advantage of the fact that you can pass through terrain with your dash. When he starts his beyblade attack, you can safely dash into the second or third bomb reticle and follow the chariot. Also, if you have multiple dashes or some kind of equivalent movement mechanic from the mirror, Hermes, aspect of Gilgamesh, aspect of Achilles, or any shield aspect as long as you don't have the hammer upgrade which turns your bull rush into a shot, you can charge directly through The Bull beyblade and buy yourself a considerable amount of time and distance to punish his approach and cool down animation.
    Theseus is definitely a different beast. One general tip is that even though all of those bomb reticles can be intimidating, only one of them is actually dangerous at a time. Don't be afraid to move through them for a dash reset or get a few cheeky shots in.
    I've noticed Theseus only has three attack patterns.
    1: he moves moderately fast around the outer perimeter of the arena lobbing bombs that detonate behind him. These are always linear in the same pattern directly behind him as he circles between 1-2 times. Remember, only the farthest circle is actively dangerous so don't be afraid to jump into the second or third to get your dash reset if that's your only option. This is also why you should focus Asterius first, as this pattern is the second safest opportunity to pump out damage since you can actually calculate your attacks and lead them appropriately. Of course the most ideal is when he stops to showboat.
    2: travel slowly across the center of the arena lobbing bombs generally in a line around him/near you. These tend to be far less predictable so you're better off avoiding the center of the ring entirely. But if you have a keen eye, and aren't being chased by an armored beyblade, you can really take advantage of his slow speed and punish him. If the bull is out of the picture then the arena is your oyster. He moves slowly enough that even the Rail special can hit without much effort.
    3: charge like a madlad through the center firing his cannons in a cone in front of him. If you have anything that deflects, this is your time to shine. Otherwise just get out of the way and punish Asterius.
    When the chariot is destroyed, as soon as you see the rings appear for his summon, pop that greater call. Ares' can often shred the rest of his HP. Also if you find yourself in a pinch (like when he summons fucking Demeter) using your companion summon will make all current circles disappear. It's not much, but it can buy you enough time for a dash reset or cast.

    Alecto’s Blade Rifts are brutal depending on what Pact stuff you have selected. The Fury fights are basically muscle memory to me at this point so I’m only ever halfway paying attention to them and I’ve almost had runs end because of her. I’d take Tisiphone or Meg over her any day.

  • @irinaandreev6950
    @irinaandreev6950 Před 2 lety +11

    I actually find EM3 Theseus way easier (Asterius with his extra spin move set and armour is still a pain though) - he's much easier to deal damage to in the first half as he's not protected by a shield and you can just follow the carriage once Asterius is down. I generally take Asterius down first by using the same strategy as the non-EM fight and the only extra thing to worry about is the bombs, I find his spear throw much more annoying.

    • @JawlessPaul
      @JawlessPaul  Před 2 lety +2

    I usually summon meg to finish off em Theseus because dealing with the gods and the shield is a lot, is that optimal? Additionally I find that it's safe to "chase" the chariot around the arena when he's shooting off bombs, which allows you to keep damage up and the bombs won't ever hit you. Also Aphrodite call makes them fight each other, which is just funny.

    • @JawlessPaul
      @JawlessPaul  Před 3 lety +6

    I just wanted to share this, and this is the only appropriate video to do so.
    On a run 78 my dumbass head realized that apparently giving mobs +20% movement and attack speed also translates to bosses. Well its not that surprising cos ive used it ever since ive gained access to HEAT..
    And boy oh boy hades is tuf af with 20% buff.
    With one of the most op builds ive managed phase 3 only once . Only to realize that in a run with a shitty 1lvl adamant rail (one shot aspect) with a crappy build in that run. I managed to get to phase 3 easily. Even tho my dmg output was hilariously bad...
    I cannot stress enough how easy it is to dodge every single one of his attacks after trying to do so with 20% buff....
    So the morale of the story ... take your time

Hard to say too much more but the better you are set up to clear 3-4 satyr pits, the better your health will be in the end too...
