PART 5: Bulnes via Funicular & Stunning Hike down to Poncebos

- Our Northern Spain Tour, we catch a Taxi from the Campsite to Poncebos where we take the Funicular through the mountain up to Bulnes. Wow! what a picturesque little village.
Firstly we hike up from the village for about 2 hours round trip, although good, the best part of the hike was yet to come.
When we arrived back in Bulnes we have beer and cake before hiking down rather than taking the Funicular. This is a truly stunning deep valley with magnificent views, there is some exposure in places but the path is wide. Even if you can’t manage the hiking a visit to Bulnes is still worth the trip, but pick a good day as its high and you could be in the clouds with no views.

There is a carpark at the Funicular but it isn’t suitable for a large Motorhome
The Taxi was €8 booked for us by the campsite reception, they gave us the number to call the driver for our return trip
The Funicular was €15.80 pp one way, if you book a return I think it was an extra €5 pp

Stunning hike guys, a part of Northern Spain we need to revisit! Always nice to grab something to drink and eat after a hard hike! Wow, those views too, incredible, just don’t look down! 😎👍

Yes this was a really nice hike, especially from the village at the top of the Funicular down, hiking up from the Funicular is good but there's not really a point of interest to aim for , it goes on for miles and miles but you have to put at least a few miles in before🍺🍷 don't you!
Wow another nice video plenty of cliff edges? you should each wear a parachute just in case you pop off the cliff edge oop's

Mitzy and Poppy... ohhhhhh what breed of dogs are they? We’re big dog lovers but can’t have one until we start taking it easier.. wouldn’t be great trying to strap a dog to the side of a mountain on our climbs!!! 🙈🙈

This micro adventure looks awesome. Should have dipped your feet in that river stream 😊 but I must say, doesn’t €65 sound very steep for the train ride?
Thanks for watching, it was an awesome adventure, the train was €17:50pp and €21:50 for a return. Still expensive and now knowing how good the views were on the walk I'd recommend walking both ways if able. If not able I'd still recommend the train as the village is a wonderful experience :)

hello, when you take the funicular to Bulnes is that actually Bulnes where you show the little cafe or do you have to walk for a while? I ask because I will be there with my father and wont want him to walk so much especially not 2 hours. Thank you.
Hi, the cafe is at Bulnes so very close to the top of the underground funicular. We chose to walk down which is the 2 hours mentioned so you'll just need to get a return ticket, it is beautiful up there 😀 Cheers...Andy&Michelle
