This works u guys I sprinkled some seeds in a pot and they sprouted no need for any fancy expensive soil or coco peat they grow fine with dirt from just outside good luck everyone

All my years gardening I’ve used many thing and never thought of cling wrap! 🤦🏼♀️ brilliant! I replaced all my plastic bottles on my other seeds with cling now. Thanks so much!
Thank you Kimberly,I am glad you found it useful.Daoly household materials really come handy while gardening.You just need to be a bit creative. I started experimenting with cling wrap,the first time I started germinating Hibiscus seeds,and it worked like a charm.
Look for a basic cling wrap that is non porous,because there are varieties of cling wrap that let air circulation across them.

I followed the same ,now after around 40 days I have 45-50 ,1cm saplings,yayy.
I planted around 150-200 seeds ,and I get to see 10-15 new life everyday.

Thank you so much for watching this video.I am so glad you found this useful.As a rule of thumb,ultra fine seeds like that of petunia,pansy,strawberry should be strewn on the surface of the potting medium. Always remember this and you will be able to germinate them without any hassle.

I used plain cocopeat and nothing else.
Always use cocopeat when you are germinating seeds,notwithstanding the size.
Cocopeat is sterile,holds water for the right amount of time,is light weight and dries considerably fast.
Yes I let the seeds dry in order to harvest them.

Very helpful I have had much difficulty growing strawberries from seeds I guess it was because the lack of light during germination most of the plats I grow require a dark humid place that is very warm to sprout

Good day. I’ve try to germinate strawberry seeds and it never germinates but now I realise what I was doing wrong. I was covering my seeds with potting soil instead. I will give an update of my process. Thank you

As soon as you see the green seed heads popping out,you make holes.That's the drill. Any sooner or later than that will spell disaster.
Regarding watering,ensure that the cocopeat is moist enough when you first sprinkle the seeds on it,and then cover it. Depending on where you keep it, if you see the color of the cocopeat turning light brown,from the top,you'll have to water it.

I read in web page dedicated to strawberries that you should put seeds in a freezer ( yeah , I know, kinda crazy) , so I did... and I think I killed my seeds. I'll try this simple method

What you read,is partially correct. The process known as stratification,is a practice of placing the seeds in the fridge,and not the freezer(where ice sets) which helps to break the dormancy cycle of the seed. You provide cold and then when you bring it out and plant it in soil and give it warmth,the seed coat softens to threat degree,and the seed readily germinates.😊
However,i did not need to do that. I chose the ripe seeds,dried them and planted them and the seeds readily germinated.😊

I have a question. When you first sowed the seeds and covered with plastic wrap. Did you water them every day or how often did you water them?
Watered them about a week later. When you cover with plastic wrap,it retains moisture for longer.

Why did you make holes after not at the beginning??
Hi Estefani, very good question.
In the beginning I kept the cling film on, so that the seeds get enough warmth and moisture for germinating.
However,once they germinated,I made holes on the cling film,so that any excess moisture inside the glass would dry out,snd the seedlings would have air circulation and wouldn't rot .

This setup does not require frequent watering. I water only when the cocopeat turns light brown in color on the top.

In the comments below,I am getting complaints from a number of you regarding the background music of the video,which is,in the opinion of few, too loud.
Well,I can mute out the video entirely but as a result what will happen is,the voice over will also get deleted.
If you people are ok with just the visuals,please reply to this comment.I will remove the background cacophony altogether.
I personally feel that you can just tune down your earphone volume,to deal with the problem,to a great extent.I do not find any problem in watching the video and as you can tell from the other comments,there are many who are absolutely fine with the audio.I would request you to kindly bear with the audio.
It's not that the music is too loud, but it is louder than your beautiful voice which makes it a bit difficult to hear your instruction. That is what they mean, but they are too lazy to say. Perhaps your audio is better than many of the devices we have, so in future videos, perhaps you could take that into consideration.

Valerie Sanchez And Whismy Crafter they need to be in the sun for a few minutes like 5 or 4 minutes to not let them burn out and let them out of the sun for 1 minute then put it back and water it not to much once they’re like touching the plastic then it’s time to give them harsh sunlight

Hi, I have managed to grow everything that I tried from seeds but failed to grow strawberries. Please help! Once I plant seeds on a clear plastic container with cling film, where do I keep the container for the seeds to germinate? I kept it in dark warm place in the past like the boiler room and not a single one germinated. But when I watched your video, I started getting hopeful again. Please let me know where do I keep the containers? By the window sill indoors so direct sunlight can get to it?Or outside in a greenhouse? Or dark warm place? Many thanks
I kept it under early morning sunlight in my east facing balcony. It received sun till 10 am😊 i also urge you to choose healthy seeds from fresh ripe strawberries. I have also made a video on how to do that and choose the best seeds. Please follow that.😊
Strawberries need light and hear to germinate. Plus the temperatures has to be between 18 to 23 degrees Celsius. Watch my video on 5 Tips for germinate strawberry seeds. It will definitely help you.
