Hey Christian, I'm thinking of doing this same mod to my RScafe, how are you finding the setup? You say it is louder, but not too loud? What difference do you notice in the power? Cheers Sean
Sean Dunn hi Sean. it is louder but i prefer louder bikes. it does have a noticeable increase in hp. dynos are reporting 105 bhp to the wheel. the weight of the stock headers is increadably heavy. i really like the stock can with the delkevics.
@@christianjones4624 Thanks mate for the reply, I have a winter project coming up I can see. How is the throttle delivery now, have you noticed any difference in how the power is delivered? Does it have any flat spots?
Sean Dunn i had the dealership install the headers. the mechanic corrected the jerky throttle and that helped alot on my riding. the throttle response is excellent. i also rotated the risers 180 degrees (gives about an additional inch), put some thicker ISO handgrips, and added a throttle buster. its an awesome bike.
@@christianjones4624 I have also added spacers to lift my bars, I'm shorter at 5 8" so it's a bit more comfortable. Appreciate the feedback, I'm going to order a set of Delkevic headers and also put in some sintered brake pads, hopefully for some more initial bite.
no problems with the chrome on mine. i have ridden 2,500 miles with the delkevic headers so far and i dont clean them often. just rise at the car wash once in a couple weeks. i will post a followupvvideo soon
I put the Delkevic headers on mine and rode for a bit before flashing the ECU with a Woolich template made for the bike. Because it was running lean before the flash the headers used to 'bronze' a lot mostly towards the exhaust port where it is hotter. I used to spend a lot of time polishing them back up again. But now after the flash, and with the fuel/air mix not running the engine as hot, i rarely have to polish them, and it is easier to do so too. So theres credence for getting the ECU flashed....
It sounds so much better than stock. Almost sounds like an old school Yoshimura exhaust.
That thing sounds just right!
Like the grips. What are they, and what is that on the throttle grip?
Assuming you have also gotten rid of the CAT box??
cat is gone as well as the weight. stock headers pretty heavy.

Sean Dunn which spacers did you go with? i’m debating on added them. thanks!
Hi. What do you think of the delkevic pipes. Do they hold the chrome look like the standard ones, being the standard is double layered?

is it too loud compared to other fullsystem?
It’s not too loud. I’m used to it now though
Is it annoying when cruising at stable speed ?
not at all. i commute around 60 miles per day. there is a sweet spot between 68 and 73 mph.
To loud for a track day?
Not at all. My C90T is louder. Cobra pipes no baffles
