I opened the dash and stuck a piece of gum in the abs light, now its off forever lol, they are separated by cubicles, each cubicle has an led, I just filled the abs cubicle up with gum so the light doesnt shine thru lol
I've been wanting to replace the rubber lines on my bike with steel braided ones but never actually took the time to actually learn how to do it properly. Now may be the second best time.
I had a steel brake line on my old KLR 650 with a single front disc, it was fine, I learned the street on it. I switched to a stock MT 07 with double discs, though it had a lot more stopping power the feel isn't there. I will be replacing with steel lines as soon as I have the funds (getting a mechanic to do it cause its tedious especially with ABS, yes I'm keeping ABS, not turning it into a MTenere 07 lol), but I'm a broke engineering student so, might be a while.
It will be a wire in the plug going to the dash. I’ve got a friend down the street with a non ABS. I’ll get his bike over here and figure what wires are missing from his plug that are in mine. That will tell me what wire to unpin. When I find out I’ll post it!
Hey bud! long time follower. Didn't know you had the same Capri brake bleeder. I've been using mine for 4 plus years now in a automotive dealership setting. I got to say it comes in handy more than I thought. Kudos for recommending a sweet tool!
Can vouch for the Core Moto brake lines. Just installed a set on my KLX 250 last week. Great quality and feel at the lever and pedal. Will install a set on my MT-09 soon.
I’ve had steel braded lines on all my bikes, mind you ive never done it myself I think if I had to I wouldn’t do it. But yeah they’re pretty good, I like how they look
Do you have HEL brake lines over yonder? I put them on every bike I own(except my CBF cus endless lines cost money 🥲) but I agree, once you out them on good luck not wanting them ever again. Also they look very tasty. The colour scheme is coming together!
Raymond Chan of Apex Brakes is cheaper than coremoto and same quality. Everyone in the stunt group uses him, he makes to whatever your specifications are.
Beat method is using a straw to create the vacuum. When you taste fluid you're doing it right.
thats how you get ants
Jake, the abs light needs a sticker, or at least a piece of harbor freight electrical tape!

I love CoreMoto brake lines, had them on my Katana. The amount of customization possible was crazy
Yeah they're great
have them on my drz400sm, love them!
Thanks for all your work, always excited waiting for more content to come out!
Best bike build vids on YT!
😂
I live for Jakes mechanical sketches
Me and my husband loves your videos! !
could you post the measurements for the custom lines you had made?
I'M HEREEEEE FOR JAKEEEEEEE
also, I'm getting a supermoto in near future, so all these videos are gonna be helpful in general. Great job Jake!

i had a set of these on my Grom, really did make a huge difference.

In Australia, any warning lights on the dash are a defect. Some of us might appreciate see how you'd go about turning it off
ECU flash?

Use a black sharpie to cover up the abs light. May take a few layers.
Idk anything about bikes or ever plan to buy one but i love watching you put shit on
Can't wait for you to do the KLX300
Steel braided lines aren't worthless, I have some on my car, gives me better pedal feel personally
Can you also get rotors off these guys? Caliber fell off the two stroke and rotors warped too bad to fix
How many subdivisions are being built around you. You have been riding around them since I started watching you years ago.
You kinda look like Sergio Perez
Jake you should open the cluster and desolder the led for the abs light.
I can do that from the wires in the back of the plug. Just unpin the right one.
You can also open the bleed screw and let gravity do the work without using the bleeder.
That’s how normal people do it.
If you don’t get brake fade you ain’t trying
thats true
Steel brake lines feel better than some random girl giving you a compliment in the wild…
hahaha thats good
Yes, in the manual scheduled maintenance says replace OEM rubber brake line every two years. Go steel!
Hey Jake , great content.
Are you able to tell us the sizes of the front and rear hoses you ended up with?
I’ve had steel braded lines on all my bikes, mind you ive never done it myself I think if I had to I wouldn’t do it.
But yeah they’re pretty good, I like how they look
Nice! :D😍
I put them on my old CRF 250L and felt the difference in braking. Might out them on my Super Tenere
Don’t forget to like and comment!
Motorcycle companies should start watching Jake's videos so they can better improve their bikes.
So are they going to be selling crf300 brake lines soon? Ive been eyeing them up for a little but noticed they only have the lines for the 250
I'm not sure. That's why I just did a custom order.
Argh! Where do you say about your garage setup? IE, the jack and whatever is in front on the wheel? How can I safely work on the bike?
is CRF250L and CRF300L brake lines, clutch and throttle cable the same length. May I know whats the length of each cable? Thanks
A quick question, how is the speedo working without the speed sensors?
Patreon saw it first. I'm just here for the algorithm
black paint pen for that abs light.
haha right, I'll probably pull the wire once I can figure out which one it is

Haven’t heard of them.
@@TheGardenSnake Pretty much the same thing as coremoto really!
That intro 🤣😂
can you share somewhere this new tubes length?
Liked for epic drawing.
Have this on the list for my 2020 grom.. its just abs so I might need some help figuring it out
What lengths did you get for your lines
Is it possible to have ABS on just the front wheel? Or is it already front only?
I thought you’d be using DOT 5 for brake fluid. I was told going through school that DOT 5 was the standard for bikes
Always go with what it tells you. In this case it was “dot 3 or 4”
Just curious; why didn’t you just get a crf WITHOUT the ABS? Wouldn’t that save time and money?
None available
13:43 What ratchet model and brand is this ??

They don't do stiffener tubes, you need that
@@TheGardenSnake yep good point I use him for my Tenere 700 and stunt bikes, my XR I ended up with coremoto for front
Hygroscopic is the word your looking for
😂 Hydroscopic .... The clue is in the 'Hydro'
Installing braided brake lines with regular (non race spec) dot 4 brake fluid and criticizing engineering explained 😂😂😂
