Doopliss disguised himself as Frankly at the start of Chapter 8. Bowser is partnered with Kammy Koopa not Kamek. The Goomba Heroine also turned into a chest while holding the final Crystal Star in Rogueport that was found by the X-nauts (there is some debate that they could be Cross-nauts with X-yux) & then taken to the moon. The Garnet Star was likely hidden in the Poshly Sanctum for the entire 1,000 years & the wiki suggests it was by the Toad Hero. We know the least about the Gold Star as Grubba found it & used it in Glitzville to steal strength from various fighters at some point in more recent history.
The Boo Heroine has many similarities to Vivian as both were originally enemies who later joined the Hero Team & would make their homes in Twilight Town. The Goomba Heroine was wise & would be the 1st Met & in Rogue Port during the game's prologue much like Goombella. The Koopa Hero was a world traveler much like Bobbery who met his end at Keelhaul Key, where said partner claimed he was dying as well before you gave him his favorite Cola leading to his joining you.

What would have been a brutal boss order would’ve been to fight the shadow sirens first then when they are defeated, go into a battle with grodus then for him to take peach hostage then throw you into the battle with bowser.
Imagine having to fight 3 bosses back to back.

Those 4 heroes are GOATs. Bunch of average Joes and Janes fought against a supernatural deity like being and managed to seal her away.
