  • Check out Jackson Kayak's unique shock absorbing bulkhead system. This is a simple to use system that is easy to adjust, gives you storage access to the front of your boat and can help save your ankles if you piton.

I need to check inside my 2011 Super Hero for that carry strap. I know when I bought it used this spring, it didn't have the foam on the foot plate. I should look to see if I can find replacements for those.

Clay! The original video boater. Still at it. How would you recommend I modify this bulkhead in my Karma UL? We're doing a self-suppport on the Grand Canyon and I want to be able to stuff dry bags down there without having that "peg" in the way.

If only I could put this in a playboat haha...I've done loops in a pool session and smashed the bow on the bottom of the pool. Not fun on your feet

The carrying strap was "invented" decades ago only no companies wanted to put the extra material in and take $0.25 off their profit margin.

I have zen II for the last 4 year. overtime, I developed problem specifically with this unishock bulkhead system. Maybe the foam foot blocks are worn, maybe something else, but foam blocks seem to slide into the bow along outer side wall under pressure and flexible footpads can't stop this sliding move. essentially you end pushing your toes into the bow beyond this unishock bulkhead system injuring your ankle joint along the way. In the interim, I tied these damn foot pads with a rope to the rim to prevent them from bending into the bow , but this is poor solution. The problem is that all this sliding happens under pressure when you piton or flip in a tight corner and and try to push against the boat. I see that in the first versions of this unishock bulk head system the foot pads were made of good aliminum and now they are just flexible pieces of plastic easily bending. the whole thing relies in the foam to stay in place, and the foam can be pushed through. I still use the boat and I really would like to know if there is a solution to it. I did have to limp because of this problem for few months.

I'm a beginner and just bought a used Nirvana (Large), but it is missing the foam footpads (my feet are directly on the plastic footplates). Where can I buy replacement foam?
