I'd love to see someone like @WadeHarrison also take the large for a review
Considering buying BUT you only warranty for 2 or 3 years, not much faith in your design and construction!!!! I saw a video guy tells of over 3 drive cable replacements. He and Jackson seem to be good natured about it but I just do not think much of paying $1000 plus for what might just be a 2 or 3 yr pedal drive "rental". My own uses and testing may only be going out 12 times in a year at most and I may not find out about short comings of the drive but may still find myself without warranty when it breaks and Jackson just says "well it's out of warranty now...." I want a durable lasting pedal drive system, not a rental of something that will go out of warranty and I'll be stuck!!!!!

Holy shit big air
Why use black for platform and everything?!? The hottest color... There's a reason most boats are white, and it's a good one.
❤
Without a doubt, Jackson kayaks have the best customer service in the entire industry, at least in my personal opinion
Lets goo!!!
Very informative. Since I own 6 Jackson boats so far ( and growing in number ) this will be quite useful going forward.
Do you ever clean & lube the mechanism? If so, what do you use? Thanks.
Always a pleasure 👍
Lose the "music."
best ive seen in or out the fluff
Have you considered using the Seadoo/skidoo LinQ adaptors on a kayak and use all the clip-in option bags and coolers?
Just used mine for the first time today! Great product.
This is one of the most versatile and customizable kayaks out there!
Great video, what a platform!
Great video! This helped alot. Cheers Chad
Will this fit a Bite FD?
reviewing your own products is like grading your own essay. it is about as trustworthy as a pile of.... its just not something you do. or name the format something different. like e.g. "overview", "walkthrough" or "showcase" just not Review. review implies that there is as little bias as possible.
You guys need to make a version of this for the Antix 2.0. I have a size Small so I guess it won't fit.
i love the new seat. mine is a 2016 and has the rounded plastic feet that set in molded dips in the plastic. they have come our on me. lol
How well will it work in the parking lot after I've travelled 400 miles just to find that they aren't going to release any water during the time I'm there? Also, can I get it with pre-made scratches and gouges on the bottom and sides so it looks like I've actually run some really gnarly water in it, even if I haven't? It would be great if it looked like I'd run some serious chit right out of the bag. Think of the parking lot appeal if I had one all scuffed up even before getting it to the water. It would be even better if I could get a personal flotation device and spray skirt with blood stains on the front. I already have taken my new helmet and smacked it against the light pole a few times, as well as using several grades of sand paper to it in order to make it look scuffed and used. I have scars on my body and face from abuse as a child. I also have them on my body too but I won't be letting anyone see those. I'm not that kind of girl. But I do look as I've been on some pretty brutal water, and kissed a few rocks, so yeh. Good parking lot appeal, even if I don't even get in the water. Gotta have a yak to match.
I have a Karma RG. I love this boat. And would love to get a couple more. Hands down the best multi day expedition boat out there.
It's criminal how some of Tyler's videos only have 250 views after a year on CZcams. This guy creates masterpieces! Great show guys, this is definitely a lesson in plugging away until good things happen.
Hands down, The Big Fish Energy makes the best kayak fishing videos on CZcams. Hopefully Tyler's channel starts to get some well deserved views.
Agreed! For the first time, I have videos from The Big Fish Energy in my recommended videos feed this morning.
So how is it different from Large Gnarvana?
The Large Flow is considerably smaller! It feels just a touch bigger than the M Gnarvana through the center of the boat, so the extra width keeps it floating higher and more out of the water. Carving feels more zippy, the stern can engage to lift the bow more if you want it to, and its overall zippiness makes it feel way more playful. The Large Gnarvana is my go-to if I'm pushing it on bigger whitewater.
Hi quick question, I just got a new 2024 knarr and so far I'm loving it but the only issue I have is with the seat in the high position I find I have to kinda stretch to reach the rudder controls, any thoughts on an extention for those handles or other solution?
Hey there, sounds like your seat may be a bit too far back, I don't have any suggestions for handle extension, but I would try sliding your seat forward a bit so that your hands are closer to the handles.
Great short clip!
Hey not sure if this will be seen or not but u just got a 2024 knarr and so far first impressions are great but the only big issue I am finding is with the seat in the high position it's a bit of a reach for the rudder handles, any thoughts on a possible longer handle or something to raise it up
Great show.
The rudder is an outdated design. I highly doubt you get sharp steering.
I didn't understand some things you presented. Can you explain some more terms? At about 0:55 - which is the top of the eddy? The end closest to the upstream end relative to the main current, or where the eddy turns counter to the main current, or somewhere else? At about 2:00 - what is an eddy line?
They responded to my comment instead of yours, but the answer was, "Top of the eddy is the upstream end of the eddy. The bottom of the eddy is downstream facing." An eddy line is where the main flow of the river, flowing downstream, meets the water in the eddy which moves at a different speed, usually upstream. The difference in currents often makes a visible line of waves or swirly water at the boundary. Even if it's not super visible, the current there can do funny things like spin you around or flip you over if you try to cross it at low speed, so it's good to be aware of. This is the line you need to cross to get back into the main flow.
@@Eliza.--.Thanks - I figured it was about as you said, but it's good to have confirmation. This might keep me from doing something stupid.
Awesome move. The flagship is back. So happy to see this. Great new seat. The last Kayak anyone will ever need. Worth every penny.
How does it hold up to salt and sand, and whats the maintenance like?
After hundreds of hours of testing, it holds up great (everything was designed to hold up to the abuse of salt water). It is a sealed unit, so requires very little maintenance. Just make sure you take the time to thoroughly rinse it down with fresh water after each trip.
@@jacksonkayakvids Thanks so much for the reply. So normally just a little oil or lube in a hole 1-4x a year, and freshwater rinsing after every trip?
You no longer need to put oil in it, (that was the MK3 and before) it is now a sealed unit and should require no oiling. Just rinse well after each trip@@bcp5296d
Exactly what I need for my terrible balance. I loved my hobie but I felt unstable standing. Wish there were more colors options. Like a black/red, blaze orange/black and cement grey like the Toyota tundra
Great episode ya'll i really like hearing different perspectives and that trailer is pretty dang sweet!!
Great!!!
I have the 2019 one in green and black and I wouldn't change it for the world, the only thing that gave me a headache was the pedal system, but I think it's now resolved and it hasn't given me any more problems.
Can I transport with the drive system installed?
You sure can! We usually recommend removing the upper unit (which only takes a moment) to avoid damage, but the lower part of the unit always stays attached
What would happen if I transport with the top unit on
You could lose it if the t-bolt vibrated loose, easier to just pop it off and put it somewhere safe while you drive to the water.@@FATALUTY10
They make kayaks for big guys too.
Missed the live show, could have really messed with Snookie. Always awesome watching how far she has come from that first day and the forgotten plug. Always fun when we get together and do stuff together. Go Snookie!
unrelated question...i have a zen and my knees are the only thing that seem to contact the boat which makes it very unconfortable...how to adjust so that my thigh and not my knee engage the boat? thanks
Swivel feature and on the go height adjustment is what I’m looking for😊
Great review Emily! Definitely a great kayak! 👍👍
hi eric im new to your channel, thanks so much for all your info, wow, youre a great ambassador to fly fishing for sure. my wife n i will be down in march and april hoping to diy peacocks and tarpon or anything else in the naples area, thanks for being so generous
good stuff
Why don’t yall make a place for a 3-5 hp motor and a trolling motor for $4000 that’s crazy
We do! The four bolt pattern on the stern of most of our fishing kayaks is designed for motor mounts!
