How does it hold up to salt and sand, and whats the maintenance like?
After hundreds of hours of testing, it holds up great (everything was designed to hold up to the abuse of salt water). It is a sealed unit, so requires very little maintenance. Just make sure you take the time to thoroughly rinse it down with fresh water after each trip.
@@jacksonkayakvids Thanks so much for the reply. So normally just a little oil or lube in a hole 1-4x a year, and freshwater rinsing after every trip?
You no longer need to put oil in it, (that was the MK3 and before) it is now a sealed unit and should require no oiling. Just rinse well after each trip@@bcp5296d
