    Bad News! Boeing 777X in Big Problems
    The Boeing Triple 7, which began production in 19 93, was introduced on its maiden flight in 19 94 and had the first passenger flight for United Airlines in 19 95. Yes, an extremely smooth and fast process. However, its successor is not so lucky. Instead of taking only 4 years from the launch of the program like the Triple 7, the current Triple 7X has not been able to pass the certification process, even though it has been 7 years since the manufacturer started from the very first steps. So what's going on with the Boeing Triple 7X? When is its official launch date likely to occur? Let's find out in today's episode!

    Emirates expressed...
    Boeing's Triple 7X testing and certification process has encountered significant delays due to various technical and internal issues. And it is expected that delivery times will be pushed back, which will affect the airlines that have ordered the plane, Emirates being a case in point. Dubai Airlines Chairman Sir Tim Clark expressed that Boeing had assured Emirates that it would resolve the issues plaguing the manufacturer, but the airline remained unhappy with the lack of progress. The problems with Boeing's Triple 7X program are particularly vexing for Emirates, a major customer. They are affecting the airline's operational planning and fleet management.
    Bad News! Boeing 777X in Big Problems
    Sheikh Ahmed, a government member and chairman of Emirates airline, expressed his dissatisfaction with Boeing on Tuesday. He highlighted ongoing issues with the Triple 7X program and other problems plaguing the US planemaker. Despite Boeing's assurances to resolve these issues, Sheikh Ahmed remains unhappy with the progress. He noted that Boeing had promised to address the concerns, but the lack of significant improvements has been disappointing.

      @@DarrenChilvers well, the 777X obviously has a higher capacity than the 787. A350: Talking about Exit Limit, maximum 1 Class seating the A350-1000 can seat 480, which is 5 (five) more than the 777-9. But this is due to the Exit Configuration of the 777-9, which allows for less passengers, 75 less than the 777-300.
      The cabin of the 777-9 is 10% larger than the A350-1000, so Airlines not using the maximum seating capacity but a multiple class layout instead (like 99% of the customers) will be able to accommodate around 10% more passengers than in the A35K in a similar configuration.

    This current state of affairs is what happens, when a once great company, starts chasing stock price and stops emphasizing innovation, and safety. I hope Boeing can right this ship, but I fear it may be too late. The only thing saving Boeing now is the fact that Airbus is having supply chain issues so they can’t increase production.

    I did find out that there’s a new Boeing ceo starting in January next year so the one that is there is just now will be finished by the end of December so all those the Boeing is saying that the new 777-900 should be being delivered by 2026 it’s more likely to be 2027 or later than depending on the new Boeing boss sees when taking over from the last one it’s been in the news in the America they could even change the design of the 777-900 and shorter the length of the plane and the wings or simply make the 800 a little bit longer and then not make the 900 model it could go either way but Boeing hasn’t actually said that they are still making the cargo version of the 777-900 the reason being is that they are working on getting the passenger version sorted out but also sorting the problems with the 787 and the 737-M range and until that happens I don’t think 🤔 a new cargo plane will be going ahead until everything else is fixed within the Boeing company

    Yeah, and what really gets folks is that the CEOs and higher execs who really are responsible for the whole series of errors Boeing made - in policies, in processes, in priorities - which have led to a physical (and corporate) disaster such as we see here are honoured and get great retirements - CEO Jim McNerny who retired recently comes away with a nice pension of $250,000. Per month.

    There is no way the 777X can be certified in 2025. It doesn't even have a TIA yet. Typically, with no snags, it takes 1 year of flight testing for certification, once a TIA is issued. It's almost July 2024, with no TIA in sight. Boeing is also focused on the 737Max-7 & Max 10 cert. And no, they don't have the horses to do all 3 at the same time.

      1. What is TIA?
      2. _> "it takes 1 year of flight testing for certification, once a TIA is issued"_
      That mean that if TIA will be issued at the end of 2024 then at the end of 2025 is possible to have certification.

    • @dennissalisbury496
      @dennissalisbury496 Před 6 dny

      In aviation, TIA stands for Type Inspection Authorization, which is an internal document used by the FAA to authorize flight tests, airworthiness inspections, and official conformity. The ACO prepares the TIA on FAA Form 8110-1, which allows ACO employees to begin the test program, usually the flight test portion.

    • @d.g.6404
      @d.g.6404 Před 6 dny

      @@dennissalisbury496 , thanks! So, TIA is some kind of local American authorization document that must be received before starting internationally recognized certification. Similar approach is used in many other countries.

      @@d.g.6404 Here's the fine print:
      with no snags
      Which has not been the case in any of the three new recent variants vying for cert.
      they don't have the horses
      It's all hands on deck to fix production issues. BA let go of the airplane guys and gals (read: expensive, senior experienced staff) and now is scrambling to put out fires all over the place.
      The Max 7 is the airplane they are trying to get certed next. They want to get them into SWA's hands as soon as possible. The airframes in Inventory are costing them money by the day.
      The 777X program has essentially turned into a new aircraft certification and BA is getting no free passes. They're still trying to figure out the uncommanded pitch event and what to do with the high alpha issue.
      The tail is too small...

    Emirates has cut the number of orders for the 777X-900 from 205 back to 100 planes because they are not sure the 777-900 will be delivered before 2028 and it will be fixed properly so they have ordered A350-1000S and the A350-900 ultra long range instead Lufthansa has done exactly the same thing and QATAR airways has newer 777-300ER so they have ordered more A350-900 ultra long range planes and the A350-1000S and have cut the order of the 777-900 to only 25 planes British Airways has only ordered the 777-800 because the bigger model is not able to taxi round the sides of London Heathrow so they have a put a limit on the size of planes going to airport and Amsterdam airport New York JFK airport has done exactly the same thing with the A380-861 and they have said no 777-900S will be allowed to land at the airport

    Lufthansa a340 can face any time retirement one of them is even 30 year old but I think that 777-8 will be a game changer not 9 as it can beat both a350’s in range and passenger but if it faces any glitch like 787 and 737 max than Boeing must get itself ready because even rocket boosters get fully designed in 7-8 years but Boeing is far behind with 777x even it’s first flight took off in 2020 but still no airline has received it😂😂 but I know they will one day come back because every company has ups and downs even airbus had during a340 programme.

      Well the reason is simple: the 777-9 is too big for the US Airlines, which tend to prioritize frequency over capacity. The 777-8 is almost the size of the 777-300ER, but the two 773ER operators, AA and UA, have a fleet which is still very young, so no replacement needed anytime soon.

      Yes I agree that the 777-900 is too big for them but the problem that united airlines have they own some of the oldest 777-300ER and the 200 most of their planes are 20 years old or older than that so they need to upgrade them and I think 💭 that the 777-800 will do what they want no problem

    Problem for Boeing, is and has always been the management. With its attitude to more profit, less safety and the removal(sacking) of many of its fine engineers, designers and employees, has
    left the company in a mire. Which unfortunately takes a lot longer to put right than sacking everyone on a cash whim. Looking for easy profit, high share values for the departing CEO's has left a company in deep trouble. Even its main opposition, Airbus, has said, Boeing is needed back as a competitor and innovator to the airline business. Short of a total clearout of all existing management and replacement of a management more in keeping with an Aircraft manufacturing business, then the company will continue fail.

    British airways hadn’t checked the that the new 777-900 would fit on their taxi way at London Heathrow airport so they have to wing span and the length of the plane and it won’t fit next to their own planes so they have had to change their to the 800 model but they have ordered another 18 off the A350-1000 because it does everything that they need and they are adding more A380S to their fleet so the 777-900 is not much use to them for that reason
