RUINED 1955 Chevy Nomad? Slammed On Steel Wheels 👌

  • Back on the Newmadd!
This wagon has been sitting idle while I've been collecting parts. This car is super solid but needs a good once over before being put back into service. I did splurge on a new fuel system, new brakes and front suspension.
Before any of the fun stuff, I tackle the rest of the floor repair. The final push of rust repair, it was rough but we made it through. This car is not "rust free" on the underside.
Oya, I love steel wheels and dog dish caps...

In 1965 my 1st car was a 2door 55 Chevy with junkyard 283, 3 speed with Hurst floor shifter, light gray primered, black steelies with baby moons, not poverty caps. The baby moons were less than $20, the price of 1 chrome reverse wheel at Western Auto. AM radio with reverb hooked in. Engines put in with chain hoist hanging from tree limb, clutches changed on your back. Old guys like your shows , too. Our floor patches were missing road signs.

You put in lots of hours to make it go that fast. I’m almost begging you guys to make the T shirts available to us Australian fans of Dan the mad butcher ❤
On another note, that was an awesome couple of vids and tutorial too.

I’m so wishing my 68 (69 on 12/26) year old body would allow me to do this type of work. 10 back surgeries and upcoming shoulder surgery are so limiting but I will still be in the pits Saturday at our local drag strip.

17:55 I have been driving my 57 wagon for 39 years. I have VW tires on the front and do not want the front any lower. No need for expensive dropped spindles or springs.

I took the tank out of my 57 150 wagon, had to disassemble the whole rear end of car to pull it.
