  • In this video One Hit Screen Printing | No Flash Needed is an experiment on using white plastisol ink on hoodies without using a flash. It was a silkscreen success.
    Screen printing is the process of pressing ink through a stencilled mesh screen to create a printed design. It’s a popular technique used in a whole range of different industries, so even if you've never heard of the term before today, it’s likely that you’ve worn or used a screen-printed product at some point without even realising. The process is sometimes called serigraphy or silk screen printing, but all of these names refer to the same basic method.
    Screen printing is an effective technique for creating bold canvases, posters and artwork, but the method can also be used to print fabrics and textiles, so it's great for creating all sorts of custom clothing and products. In this channel, we'll cover all of your questions about silk screen printing, including:
    What is screen printing?
    Why is screen printing used?
    The screen printing process step-by-step
    A guide to screen printing equipment
    Will screen printing wash out?
    What’s the difference between digital printing and screen printing?
    What's the difference between heat transfer printing and screen printing?
    And many more.

    Hi and greets from Gremany / Berlin! I do always add a bit of puff additive to the plastisol ink I use for the print on hoodys and other sweaters. cos you can use a finer screen for small details of a design. And you also only have to do the one push or pull with you squeegee!

      @@adriantrejo6696 one hit is one stroke is one print. one stop at a station is one thing. but saying 1 hit and stroking 3 times....nah that's not it.

      Wrong, ink always stays in the mesh do you have to make sure it clears, as I said it’s still considered a 1 hit because he flooded it once. And as I said he didn’t flash it so yes it’s a one hit white.

    Hi John, This Zell R. from Detroit. Can you do a video on screen printing on a fleece blanket?

    • @memento143
      @memento143 Před 2 lety

      I printed fleece blankets about a month ago. Looked great. Printed like fleece hoodies. I used Union ink maxopake orange and lemon to match PMS 012. One good hard pass to get down into the fleece flash and two light passes to make it bright. You can pre flash it if you are worried about movement or shrinkage sometimes helps.
