@@MarekDrives Thats a broad sweeping statement that could be aimed at all the rivals in a similar class, what would you liketo see the inside of the car made from then, if you want wood or veneer then lets step back into the 1960's?
To say that the DS7 looks cheap is astonishing to me & something I totally disagree with, unless of course your own car is Bentley or a Roller?
I delivered cars for years, drove all makes and marques and they were all plastic inside, they stil are. I think that DS have made a fantastic effort to make this vehicles interior look anything BUT cheap, even the fascia on the Performance line is SUEDE, ok, false suede yes, but its NOT plastic.
If you want to go with the flow and blend in and be a bore then sure, go for the BMW, Audi, VW just like all the other sheep do. These cars were once upon a time quite rare to see on the road, they are now 2 a penny & everybody has one.
I decided years ago to be different and have loved my Citroen C6, DS5, and now I also love my DS7 Performance Line ( 2 days old today)
It has already attracted attention in a car park with people approaching to look and comment on how "Nice" it looks, something you wont get with any other car unless its owned by a Football player and costs a fortune. To end with then, my DS7 does not look cheap at all and it is most definitely not plastic fantasic :-)

Hi Marek, I used to work at Peugeot in the England, and was privy to the technology being developed by Citroen back in 2005/2006 this was early development and could identify animals or humans a long distance away at night and unfortunately has been “borrowed “ by high end german manufacturing companies,
This vehicle is a work of art and I would love to own one

Good review..... I also test drove this model DS7 and I very much liked the design of the exterior and interior. In comfort mode the suspension is very comfortable but I agree the throttle response is a bit slow..... I thought the sport mode was much better. I currently own a DS5 2.0 HDi and it's a more interesting and fun car to drive. Wait 2 years and the DS7 will become an excellent second hand proposition at a good price!

My heart rather than my head gets the better of me in car purchase's.I'm a DS fan ,my last car was the DS5 which I loved but the sporty ride loosened my teeth fillings and had to go.Next up the DS7 comfort is a world apart from the DS5 but the price is quite a leap up.as you mentioned to spec the car with the innovative options is expensive but no different than the German brands. In the end my decision was the style and flair of the car particularly the lighting systems front and rear, it's early days (6 months ownership) but no complaints so far.👍

Had the car for a 24h drive test. I have to say I was impressed with it, even there are few bits that raised some questions, especially in terms of long term usage.
I drove the 2.0 diesel, 180 bhp auto and the only diesel noise I could hear was when starting the car and pulling off. On motorways it's a pleasure, as well as around the town. Comfortable suspension, lovely design, powerful engine and 8 speed gear box would make a very tempting package. But then, you've got the competition that brings cars like Volvo XC60 / XC40, BMWX3 /X1, Audi Q5 (Q3 soon), Mazda CX5, Skoda Kodiaq, Alfa Romeo Stelvio and soon Honda CRV, Toyota Rav4 and Seat Tarraco.

This car is surprisingly spacious! Of course I don't like the chunky console which you also get with a Peugeot 3008 or a Citroën C5 Aircross. My husband and I are tall (1,90 & 1,98) and not slim. We found the seats very comfortable and his very wide shoulders didn't touch the column of the car! Do you have other SUVs with similar space to suggest? It is a struggle with such wide shoulders. RAV4 and X-TRAIL were narrow, CRV was so and so. Also, please consider testing a Honda Pilot if you can get your hands on it. Not easy to find one in Europe. Thank you! ☺️

Pugeot does everything ass backwards. ever their speedometer is jacked up. Also all french cars ive tested have extremely annoying lane assist and collision warning tech. If you get 5 car lengths behind a car on the highway, all kinds of bells and whistles start going off and if the highway guard rails cast a shadow next to road lines , you hit a construction area with yellow lines over the white, the damn car thinks you're running off the road and starts jerking your steering wheel. Dont get we started on drive through car washes... where you want to turn the car off to stop all the proximity alarms but if you do, the automatic parking brake turns on and causes you to end up sideways on the car wash conveyor.

It's not for it being a Citroen, it is because it is a C segment car! I mean for that kind of money you can get a perfectly fine base model 5 series or Volvo XC90. It does star at 30 k

i like his reviews but this one sucks balls. We understood he has issues with France or french stuffs but i was expecting a honest and objective review....this is not one. Ratio price quality this is a really good car especially with the hybrid engine.

AFAIR at the time of filming this was very expensive, and there was no hybrid in the cards. Today as a hybrid it makes sense.

Sorry Marek, but your driving position is not really correct, way too near to the steering wheel, this is not a racecar.

    • @MarekDrives
      @MarekDrives Před 6 lety +2

Sorry Clemens, but correct driving position is almost vertical, regardless of whether it's a racecar or not. It has to do with being able to step on the brake pedal in an emergency situation, and not slide up the seat. Actually I'm too laid back here, but I can't do better because of insufficient seat and steering column adjustment.

5 star Ncap rating, doors do not rattle when closed, neither does the boot, to be honest if you've not been near one, and you obviously have not then you should keep your speculation to yourself.

Yes you are entitled to your opinion, never said you weren't but it should be based on fact and not on the FACT that you just don't like the brand or are jealous of those that own one....hit a nerve?
