By far the nicest hammock stand on this site bar none. No fluff and redundant filler to make up the video. Time lapse with complete view of what you were doing. Great job!! I hope that I can build one as worthy as yours. Cheers!

that was absolutely incredible. The craftsmanship and precision that went into making that were stunning. I just ordered one online, and now I don't feel so bad about paying a few hundred for it because although I have the tools, I don't have the time or the skill to build something like this. Great work, thanks for sharing!

Was considering attempting this project but realized I don't have a cat ... or the discipline or the tools or the space. But I do have the hammock strung between natural forest posts so, nap time.

This guy did everything short of growing the wood. A true master craftsman. If I had built this I would keep it for myself. I don't know how much I would charge someone for so much work! It would be an astronomical amount of money LOL!!

Hi, first of all: VERY NICE VIDEO! I bow my head to you.
But I also have a question concerning bent lamination:
Would it also be possible to glue up curved beams from individual pieces / "boards" that are shorter than the final beam (for example make a 9 foot beam out of two 4.5 foot "boards", than three 3 foot "boards" than again two 4.5 foot "boards" and maybe only use 9 foot "boards" for the top and bottom layers)?
I hope you understand what I mean. Thanks in advance

Beautiful stand, awesome video. You've inspired me to go out to the the garage and get to work. I was really awed seeing you chisel-cut the mortises (?) in the feet to fit the curved main beam of the stand. I was wondering how you were going to get 2 curved pieces to fit together. Great job! Subscribed :)

  • @alexandrearato

When you drill holes in wood, it loses resistance, right? What could be an alternative to those really big screws that tighten the stand? If you glue pieces together and use screws, can you use smaller ones? I can see that big screws give a beautfiful look, but I´m thinking about resistance.

    • @theblackdragonpr

Alexandre Arato Try using wood joinery although wide screws gives more resistance to breakage than regular screws
