I dont know if someone has mentioned it before, but during the quest of Morkvarg, you can speak to one of the girls who accompanies the Freyja priestess (in the temple, not in lofotan) . She tells you she was kidnapped by some pirates, but was able to flee after the ship crashed with some rocks near the shore. If you go southeast of that island, you can actually find that ship, which is btw surrounded by sirens (you can confirm it is the same ship after looting the captain's diary from a corpse). " In order to pay the White Wolf back for saving his life, Folan set out with Hjalmar defend Kaer Morhen against the Wild Hunt. There, far from his native land, Folan fell in battle while fighting side by side with his friends."

I did that a few times when going for that sweet, darker, slightly depressing vibe. Svanrige becoming king, Crach losing children. But in all my playthroughs I think skipped Hjalmar and Cerys quests once. Sucks that if you do them, you have to either don't come to the party or ditch them to get that result, especially considering Cerys only requires a bit of time investigating.
Overall I think bad endings of main quests, side quests, everything really are so much more fitting. Be it missed out of neglect in hurry of pursuing Ciri, or wrong choice made with good intentions. Make it sprinkled with rare, occasional small happy endings and you're set. W1 Vincent the Warewolf questline is great example. Or W3 bad ending epilogue with seemingly emotionless Geralt butchering what's left of swamp Witches followers, saving wolf mother in the process.
I had a lot more fun when going for that sort of "flawed" playthroughs, and the one where I went with opposite of perfect ending was my all time second favorite.

Hey here's something you might wanna look into. So I was thinking about things I still had to in Skellige and then I remembered the guy that appeared in the quest where you had to help Hjalmar who was in the abandoned ship, you know the one who talked with skulls, so I realized that the last thing geralt told him is that he was going back for him after finding Hjalmar which he replied by telling geralt to make sure he brought some materials the next time he was around.
So I went back to see if he was still there and he was nowhere to be found and on top of that there were some shackles lying around next to the ship maybe that has something to do, but more interestingly there was on the other side close to boat there was a pile of dirt which had that particles which appear over a quest object that can be interacted with I'm not sure if it was a bug though I haven't checked again if the particles are still there yet but anyway I looked everywhere for that misteryous man and it seemed he totally banished, I'm not sure if he's part of a secondary quest that I have missed or something but
I hope you read my comment btw love your videos :D

The belhaven blade steel sword and the gesheft silver sword are the superior versions of the Faithful friend steel sword and tah’rel silver sword which are the enhanced versions of faramond’s blade steel sword and fen’aeth silver sword.
They’re pretty much like a set of witcher gear, even if they are relic weapons. Look at their bonuses(they are the same but level up with each piece.

In one playthrough I did, testing things I'd never tried before, I helped Hjalmar get right up to the giants door before bailing. This caused everyone to tell me he was dead, but after the shift of Nilfgaard moving to Skellige he spawned back up in Kaer Trolde acting like nothing happened and that his sister was Queen. This happened after I ignored completely Cerys' quest and she too "died" yet showed back up acting as Queen, even though the end credits confirmed Svanrige to be King. It's a strange glitch and one that I can repeat
