Simon Cowell whispered in her ear his "I don't think you know how good you are" line .... I could hear Angelina thinking, no Simon, you don't do your homework.
On Skavlan, the interview part, she said she is never nervous about singing. You'll have to listen to the interview to get her exact words but paraphrased she said when she sings she goes to a another place or world. It is endless.
If you are not familiar with Skavlan it is worth it to find it. He has interesting guests and combinations of guests. But most of all he asks the best questions. They are clever, substantive, interesting. Not your run of the mill talk show.

I'm just so jealous of the person that has your heart.
I've probably watched this performance 1001 times. It was her 'coming out' as far as the mainstream world was concerned, but she has been a prolific performer since she was a toddler. There are lots of iconic performances but they're often not fully appreciated until long after they've been done. Seems that everyone who hears this for the first time (including the Idol judges) realizes they're experiencing one of those rare musical moments.
As Angelina said, she waited 10 years for this moment, and wow, didn't she take that moment. Angelina took their breath away, you could hear a pin drop. I've never heard a more captivating, mesmerising performance. I didn't want it to end. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊🌏
And the funny thing is we're all captivated and don't even notice there's no orchestra or big backing effect..just a guitar/ piano. Its just her...Totally Amazing.
This girl was singing as an infant. Look it up. She’s got something you rarely see these days. The ENTIRE PACKAGE. You made me cry again...🤗🤍
O.K. she's 13!!!!!!!! I have been following her for 4-5 years and I am still stunned every time she opens her mouth. She is still learning what her voice can do. To your comment that she must feel comfortable in her own skin, I have never seen her show a moments hesitation or fear of performing. This goes for the time she at age 9 walk to the middle of a massive stage in Seoul South Korea in front of 40,000 plus people and sing. Or when she walked to the end of the stage and sing two difficult songs written by Alan Walker in front of 10-15,000 people in Alan's hometown for a tour ending concert. Even this night she said she wasn't nervous, she just wanted to sing well for Simon. I have to stop now because I can't quit crying and I've seen this video at least 30-40 times.
You probably know by now that Angelina was 13 when she performed this on AGT: Champions. Oddly, she lost to a big troop of circus tumblers. Some suggest that it was because she, and her family wouldn’t sign with Simon’s record company. She won Norway’s Got Talent at 8 years old, so this wasn’t her discovery. She’s now 16 and just gets better all the time. No one cuts to the emotional truth and meaning of a song like she does. She has signed with Republic Records, and they have agreed to not to rush her career so that she will have a healthy childhood, as are the wishes of her family.

She didn't win AGT, but she won the hearts millions of people worldwide, and that's more important.
As you can tell from the comments, Angelina has an army of "Angels" following her wherever she goes. I'm in my 70's & I've never reacted to a vocal artist as I do to Angelina. Somewhere in virtually every song she sings, I get goosebumps & sometimes the whole way through the song. Her sad songs make me cry, often I don't even know why, it's just a physiological response that I can't control. Apparently this is a common condition when listening to her. I love the way she just sits or stands in front of the mic singing her heart out while oozing emotion. No jumping around being cool with fireworks going off, just pure raw music. As one of the judges said at her audition on Norway's Got Talent when she was 7, "You are Music." Another judge wiping away the tears said "We have a star" & she was so right.

Keith and Ric, what's also incredible is to watch her growth in Norway's Got Talent from Gloomy Sunday to Summertime in the finals. Keith, I'm in your "group" and I have listened to lots of her songs many, many times and get emotionally moved every moment. Her voice, her humbleness, her Mona Lisa smile. She has the whole package.

As one of the Norway's Got Talent judges said to Angelina in 2014 when she was 7 - "You are music!" Self confidence is not a problem when it is everything you do.

If you watch enough of Angelina's videos (and I really hope you do) you'll see that she has had a powerful confidence and presence since she was 6 or 7 years old. She's been on stage in front of tens of thousands, been on television shows many times, and is completely comfortable with the whole thing. No dancing, no prancing, no fancy or skimpy costumes. Just standing there singing, captivating and entrancing her audiences. When you hear "Yellow Brick Road" notice how quiet the audience is for that performance. With her very first notes, Angelina completely owns the performance hall and all the souls in it.
Ya she is a treasure and I can imagine what would happen when she makes a concert anywhere in the globe and I can guarantee you the whole city will be shut down because of her and you can hardly find a ticket to go to her consert

When it comes to confidence you will never have a problem with Angelina.😉 I mean she has confidence but not to the point of being cocky on the stage. She may even be the most humble 13 year old girl you will ever see. But when it comes to music she has her own world. And when she sings she is taking us all to that world.

In case anyone's not clear about this: the image on her shirt is herself at age 7, when she auditioned for Norway's Got Talent. Her audition on that show went viral on CZcams and launched her (public) singing career.
That was a very nice reaction to Angelina & very typical of how people react to her when they listen to her, that's why so many of us come to watch the reactions of her. History was made, Thank you for that. If anyone's brave enough to do this song, they'll be doing her rendition of the song & they'll be compared to her, for it's her song now. Think of it , she took a iconic classic rock opera & stripped it down & turned it into a jazzy/bluesy soulful ballad. (Very Avant-garde of her) As far as I know she the only person that got high compliments from a actual band (Queen). Please support her music, CD's, iTunes, ect.. Put her on your playlist...To help keep the Hollyweird cult away from her. So many (even Disney) producers have been trying to get her to sign her. She & her mom just tell them no, (she wants to finish school 1st). They would just ruin her & spit her out once they made their money off of her. A God given voice & talent. What amazing timbre, tone & texture.. She's very sweet, humble & loving in real life too. She rearranges & composes her songs while still being respectful to the original. She has written 3-4 songs plays 4 instruments, speaks 3-4 languages etc...

Angelina is a musical genius! Soon a living legend. She's only 14 years old! Imagine when she is 20 years old !!!! In fact, she and her family can decide for themselves when they want to release her to all the world's scenes. The entire music industry knows who she is and she has the whole "package".
Great Reaction! Angelina states that there have been difficult and troubled days in an interview in early April. She has had to cancel all activities because she commutes a lot to New York. She also states that it will be a tough year for the culture and entertainment industry, and that all her TV recordings and concerts have been canceled, including Kongsberg jazz festival. There she was to be on stage with legend Lionel Richie.
She is not very active on social media and likes to make music and write lyrics. She prefers to spend time in the studio. And states that if she is very active on social media, it will take all her creativity away.
She encourages supporting neighbors who are particularly vulnerable to Corona. When quarantine time is over, she will be in the studio making good songs! And when everyday life becomes normal, she looks forward to us appreciating each other and giving each other a lot of love. She says we're all very fragile, as Sting sings: "How fragile we are."
She puts something, not much, maybe just a photo, on her IG account almost every day.

Her views on the pandemic, social media and life in general blow my mind. If you didn’t know her age you would guess that she is at least 25 based on this interview.
So based on the interview and her Instagram, I believe that she actually is signed to Republic Records, and a new chapter her career is about to start whenever things go back to normal.

I am starting to be angry that DIANA fans are busting in on many reactors saying Angelina is terribly over rated When the topic is how much we fans love Angelina, there should be a way to instantly block out negative comments from rude people, the heck with "freedom of speech" when you know it will hurt the feelings of a 14 year old singer

Thank you for doing this reaction to Angelina Jordan. You have just an amazing young talent and she did a very beautiful version of this song. She first appeared on Norway got talent at the age of 7 years old singing gloomy sunday by billie holiday and she won Norway got talent at the age of 8 years old singing summertime by George gershwin. She has about 125 cover songs and 5 original songs where she wrote three of those original songs herself. This was just the tip of the iceberg and Angelina Jordan gonna blow your mind many times more i promise you that.

You are so right, she is a "TREASURE". When Angelina sings she transforms us into her world, and we feel the emotions that she is singing. She drags the tears out of me almost every time. If you decide to take the Angelina "trip", it is a long but joyful journey. You can start all the way back when she was 7/8 and won Norway's Got Talent singing Billie Holiday and Nancy Sinatra songs. Or you can skip to any place in her career and she will blow you away. Rusty has suggested "I Put a Spell on You" when she was barely 9. It is truly, one of the most incredible things I have ever heard. The entire production (in Black and White) is an A+. Angelina has covered about 125 songs, and has 5 originals. There are no bad performances. And many are better than the originals. And she moves between genres: jazz, pop, country, rock. But her forte is jazz, and she brings that to other genres. I have to agree, while Angelina was singing this she just draws you in and captivates you like no one else.
One of best reaction. You see her personality, and because minimal words and awe is the appropriate response.
Most think "wows" are scripted or fake when watching Angelina perform,but it is allready a global spontaneous reaction. People are hypnotized,baffled,just completely lost for words when they hear her sing. And funny you should mention her confidence and stage presence. Ask her to sing,and she`ll blow you away! Take away the music and the ability to sing,and she transforms into this slightly awkward young lady that feels misplaced,becomes a little shy.....probably thinking "when can i sing next time?!"😂She has been doing this since she barely could talk or walk. Something her grandparents music collection got to experience first handed. She raided it and started practicing on how to do covers of them. She even re-writes,re-arranges the songs herself. I can compare it to one of my Uncles,he was a tech and engine head ever since he was a tiny kid. Started screwing with the radios,stereos etc in the household. Picked them apart,then put them back together. Alot of fails at first,but he has allways been self thought. Today he can fix most moped,motorcycle,car,truck,bus engines that arent too "new tech" (as well as radios,stereos). I guess Angelina is the same way with music,its just on her mind 24-7,and she loves to experiment with it. Making her favourite songs into her own. And she does her own songs allready of course!

Janet, your comment that you made at the end on the arrangement is absolutely spot on!!! Here's what is critical about the arrangement here. Without the backing vocals, horns, woodwinds, percussion, etc. there's nowhere for a singer to hide!!! Whatever remains has to fill the room! Here's what is so special - aside from the guitar and her voice you could have heard a pin drop!!! She completely swept everyone away with the beauty of her voice, her tone and her emotion!!! You could see it in the faces of the audience!
She's always known fame and praise. Still she's kept her humility and poise. Janet, you are right to call her a treasure, but she's not expensive - she's a gift to us from God!!!

It seems like this is your first exposure to Angelina. Let me say this without equivocation: she is the best interpreter of lyrics I’ve ever heard. Just like she did with Bohemian Rhapsody, she lives the lyrics and has the audience in the palm of her hand from the first line of almost anything she sings. I’ve watched your reviews before and enjoy them. I know you are not a traditional reviewer, but since you appreciate the singer’s commitment to the performance, watch some more of Angelina and you’ll be hooked forever.
A suggestion: watch her sing “A Million Years Ago”, the Adele song. I think she was 12 years old then, but her version is stunning and genuine. And if you want to see something basically unbelievable, try “I Put a Spell on You” that Angelina did at age 9. The term, “child singer”, does not apply. She brings to life whatever she sings whether it’s on stage or in a studio or in her home.
'Stay' is another one at the same level as 'Million Years Ago' and in a very similar fashion.
@@lilsun724 I could name two or three dozen off the top of my head without even trying that would meet that criteria, but why bother? If she takes the time to listen to a couple more she'll be hooked, and she'll get to them eventually. She might not review them, but she'll find them. She won't be able to help herself. Might even have already happened. Angelina's voice is like crack Cocaine - sometimes all it takes is one deep breath and you're addicted for life. I speak from experience here. (not the coke - Angelina).
And it is such a positive addiction. She and her singing are helping get us through this difficult time in the history of mankind.
Just a question ... how do we know she's the best interpreter? ... don't misunderstand my question / the context I'm asking it in. I'm firmly in the blown away fan / listener. I can unequivocally say that I can not think of a rendition / version of a song that she has done where I've thought it was boring or worse bad. My point however is if she didn't write the song or talk to the composer directly than there is no way to say definitively that her or any other artist who did not write a song did the best interpretation. Rather what we have I feel is even better as she often takes a song that people know, changes it, even so far as to rearrange them significantly at times. The end result a performance that stops us in our tracts, brings chills, and even involuntary WOW moments when her version is so different that it takes a minute to remind oneself that she's singing a classic or well know song and it sounds drastically different yet still connected to the original. Let's take Bohemian Rhapsody as an example it is blatantly wrong to state that Angelina did a better interpretation of the song written and performed by Freddie Mercury - it's just not possible for her to somehow interpret the lyrics better than the man who wrote them. Don't go crazy yet ... what she did do was take the iconic song, break it down into what it means to her and the give us a performance that Freddie himself would likely applaud. She honored Freddie while staying true to herself and giving us all a fresh take. That fresh take that she applies to all the songs she covers / honors is what makes her truly unique and other worldly. I'm grateful to hear what she is doing and sad that I will only get to experience a small taste of what she will bless the world with. Fifteen - twenty years from now her catalog and Iconic talents will probably be talked about and broken down in music classes the world over ... but those of us who are older will not live to see it all. I do hope that younger generations are able to truly understand her both now and in the future.

Angelina’s voice and her total being is like an ocean wave or soft summer breeze that takes you in and rushes you to places you have rarely experienced. Your heart rate increases, you find it difficult to catch your breath, chills and shells engulf you. You are now addicted to Angelina Jordan the finest story telling vocalist I have ever experienced.

Angelina had stage presence at the age of 7 when she auditioned for Norway's got Talent 2014 and won. As part of the competition she sang "I'm a fool to want you" by Billy Holiday in accapello.
This angelic vocalist knows that the stage is her place. At 7 years old she stated that she wants to be a superstar. In another interview she stayed that music is as important as breathing to her.
She was duplicating notes to songs when she was 1 and 1/2 years old.
At 9 years old Angelina became Norway's youngest published author. "Between two Hearts", yelling the story of why she performs barefooted.

was 6 years old is in the excellent to great range, some are simply masterpieces and then there are the performances that just grab your heart and bring you to your knees. Problem is the heart to knees ones vary from listener to listener and change day to different day. So to get the gist of this miracle you have to listen to what she has done
and there is a lot of listening to do.
I didn't mention her age as part of her mystery though it is quite amazing, but if you close your eyes all
you hear is amazing, age non-specific, vocal magic. But !!! Watching her perform is amazing all by itself. Howie Mandel called her hypnotic and that is an understatement.

Although Angelina didn't make the final five in BGT, I consider her to be the most incredible , talented jazz singer, she makes every song her own and sings every song even better than the original. She is unique. Love this young lady. She is a Star!!!!!!!!
And a little more information: Angelina refused to agree to the binding agreements in AGT, but I think they were aware of this, but still wanted her to attend to bring as many viewers as possible. Then there was no way she could win. The entire acclaimed music industry knows who she is, and she was invited to sing for Quincy Jones during his 85th birthday at O2 Arena London. She has also collaborated with David Foster, Gene Simmons, Alan Walker. In addition to singing at the Nobel Prize concert 8 year old. She has also sung for Obama. This is just something from her résumé at 14 years old and the list is much longer. So it was really AGT that she was lucky that she showed up. But as I said, AGT is just a TV show and not a competition. Calling it a Talent Competition is too stupid. The only thing that was real is all the amazing talents we saw and heard. Note! She is also Norway's youngest author with published book 9 years old! Composer Nico Cartosio especially wrote a piece that he wanted Angelina to perform vocally. History was made, If anyone's brave enough to do this song, in her rendition of the song & they'll be compared to her, for it's her song now. Think of it , she took a iconic classic rock opera & stripped it down & turned it into a jazzy/bluesy soulful ballad at age 13. Please support her music, CD's, iTunes, ect.. Put her on your playlist...To help keep the Hollyweird cult away from getting their claws into her. So many (even Disney) producers have been trying to get her to sign with them. Her & her mom just tell them no, (she wants to finish school 1st). They would just ruin her & spit her out once they made their money off of her. Her family is very protective of her, they even formed a production co. for her (Angelina Jordan inc.) She's a talent that comes by once in a lifetime maybe once every hundred years. Angie is music. She can do any genre & sound better than most originals & she's still very young too. She’s 14 as of 1-10-20. She made her outfit using the pattern of an artwork, from her grandmother's She makes several of her outfits too.
A God given voice & talent. What amazing timbre, tone, texture, vibrato & amazing rare skill of tremolo & the pitch perfect skill also ect ect.. She's very sweet, humble, giving & loving in real life too. She rearranges & composes her songs while still being respectful to the original. She has written 3-4 songs plays 4-5 instruments & she's trying to learn a little sax too, speaks 3-4 languages, sings in 4 ect, etc.. .English isn’t her 1st language, it’s her 3rd. She does great in school too, Her mom didn't want her to do this, but Angie kept practicing & pushing her mom. She also gives a lot to charities & helps out children who really need it. As a new subscriber I have some hope and confidence you will do some more Angelina reactions/reviews. I don`t think you will ever regret that. The confidence of Angelina`s apperance on stage, might be explained by her statement as she was 7/8 years old, taking part in the "Norwegian Talent" show (NGT). She was asked if she ever got nervous on stage, and she said no. Her explanation was: - as she is singing she turnes her mind into a wonderful place inside of her. I think singing is the best thing of her life, and she loves music, as she loves to sing. Her stunning voice and her technical skills gives her all the potential needed to go all the way in the world of music, I think.

This is the first time i watched you reaction cause i been on a trip watching some reactors reacting to angelina. And first ting that came to mind when you were done with the reaction was that you have to do i out a spell on you. She does this song when shes is 9 years old. She even arrange her songs. And in rhr her beginning you see her changing the notes and pass it on to the musician.. This is a abselut must to watch either you react or just watch it. (recommend you react to it.). Shes done alot of covers wich tou can find on her cover channel but she olso have songs she have written herself wich is crazy good. Not only for her age but for anyone in the world. Angelina has signed with Republic, who agreed to slow walk her to allow her to finish high school and childhood and to have creative control of her work.
They know what a treasure they have. She is their highest priority new artist and the director of the LA studio is handling her personally and plays piano on a number of her new covers like her more recent covers of Adele and of Elvis’ Suspicious Minds.

Although a master performance, as are the others she performed at AGTTC, they are not her usual style but tailored for the format of the show and the American public. In all other performances, Angelina does not exhibit all of her vocal abilities in one performance to impress an audience but as she was limited to only just over two minutes she had little choice but to step out of her preferred delivery style. In all other performances it is a "less is more" performance. She never introduces high or low notes, or any theatrical gestures just to say to her audience "look how good I am." Her method is to take a song, rearrange the lyrics and melody until it fully represents how she feels the song should be sung. She is then by some magical way able toconvey the emotions of the song to her audience. It has worked in every performance she has given.
