    Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts, Tony. Your best advice that I got was NOT storing my pickleball paddle in my car. I live in Hawaii where, as you know, it's hot and humid year round, and never thought that heat could impact it. It's in a pickleball backpack, but I'm thinking that isn't enough to protect it. Thanks again!

    Dang, great video! I could not find the link to your paddle guide. I’ll keep searching, but I’d appreciate any advice or help.

    I agree with another comment. Diadem is not made well. My Diadem warrior started chipping away in less than 6 months. I contacted them and they refused to accept responsibility and told me if it gets worse to contact them and they can see what they can do. Few months later the chipping got worse and I contacted them and they offered 25% off because now it was out of warranty. Diadem isn’t made to last and the customer service is not great. I wouldn’t buy from them again. You can see the many poor reviews on any site that sells them and similar customer service experience. I don’t think that company will last.

    What type of paddles delaminate? Graphite or other kinds?

    • @BetterPickleball
      @BetterPickleball  Před rokem

      Hello Lori - this video covers delamination from the standpoint of a paddle's innards separating under heat or use. We do not cover it in this video from the standpoint of the news you hear or read about with the pros. Hope this helps.

  • @lowbudgetcomicsthings7068

    Played with a new diadem warrior edge and noticed quickly that my 1st responder was a dead paddle. It lasted about 8 months

      Yeah that often happens more quickly than we think.

      My Diadem started chipping within 6 months (within the warranty period) and the customer service didn’t care. I just won’t support them any more.

      This isn't paddle specific. The same conditions would apply to all paddles.

    You forgot to mention the delamination of thermo formed paddles. What happens when your paddle face hits harder than normal. After all some of those paddles are so hot they are outlawed in pro play. What is the responsibility of the rec player to change their paddle when it gives them unfair an advantage.

    • @BetterPickleball
      @BetterPickleball  Před rokem

      Hello Dale - "forgot" is not accurate. Chose not to address that in this video using the term "delamination" as that term has the meaning you are assigning it and the conversation is about too much pop versus paddle going bad as such. It is a form of separation - which is addressed in the video. Delamination is, in itself, an interesting subject and potentially another video. Thanks as always for keeping us sharp :).

    Good info but stop using the word “paddle” . Just like table tennis and tennis , it’s called “racket”

      Thank you for educating me on Table Tennis, I didn't realize that in the official rules it's called a racket. I would have mistakenly called it a paddle.

      @@ThatOneKiddMohil PickleballCentral calls them paddles. Joola calls them paddles. But hey, be a 🤡 and call it a racket. 🤷
