Great Explanation!!
My wooden paddle has delamination
Splinters!!!

Great explanation!
Ouch! Demonstrated Legacy as Core Crushing. But at Will mentioned it can happen to any brand.
Hey Will. Please tell me you haven't heard of any of Paddletek's ALC-12.7 (seriously just label it as 1/2") paddles delaminating? I don't want to cry as this paddle feels great in my hands. Thanks!
Why are non thermoformed paddles not susceptible to core crushing?
Savage with the Legacy paddle haha
Hi Will, my relatively new BD 6.0 experiences some level of disbonding. I have been talking with 6.0's customer support, but we couldn't agree on the condition of my paddle. Super frustrated with 6.0. I like the (single) BD, for how solid it feels and the power, but I can't work with their customer support. What would you suggest me to try instead? Thanks in advance.
You could try the Nova from Ronbus or one of the Vatics. Tbh most of these thermo paddles come from the factory with a little core-ruption and sometimes you just get unlucky.
@@PickleballWill Why Nova over Pulsar? I heard that power wise Gen 2 is still greater than Gen 3?
@EdisonShiFilm just if you feeling stressed over delam. I would choose pulsar over nova
I had the relatively same issue with my DBD from SixZero and customer service said there policy concerning Core Crushing doesn't honor anything past 120 days--it started right after 4 months! they said they would give me 50% off a new paddle--not worth it for me so i went with Ronbus and Vatic Pro for the time being and so far no issues after 2 months. So sad considering i sent them a 4K video high resolution video showing exactly the sounds mine was making! Boo Six Zero, Boo! And yes Chris Olsen still still competes with that paddle, but he probably isn't playing longer than 3 months with any one specific paddle from them. If you want to go the distance, go with Ronbus, Dong just works tirelessly at finding good recipes for paddle success in the long game.
@@PickleballWill I think in someone's latest video about NOVA mentioned that it's Gen 3 and created pocket to allow air to escape during the thermo forming process.
Here is our crunchy my paddle is now.

Has there been any companies that came out with a core crushing fix? Hudef? Ronbus? Some other company?
Some companies have claimed it but I canât say for sure. If it used a Polypropylene honeycomb core then there is always some possibility even if itâs low
Every company has said they fixed it. But like Will said, we don't know. It's a hidden defect that is a product of the hot-molding mfg process. The symptoms develop over time. It can be difficult to detect for some, or very obvious for others. The brands hope that your paddle lasts through the warranty period(usually 6 months), or that you don't notice that it's changed.
Ronbus claimed that their Pulsar paddles did not have crushed cores, but they did. Now they claim that the Nova is the solution. There is no reason to have a fix with the Nova if it's already fixed in the Pulsar, right?
Can you do a video on how to reattach an edge guard?
Need some gorilla glue haha
@@PickleballWill Agreed I like the ones with a brush and more of a gel less mess!!
How is it cheating and unfair? Doesnât make sense as itâs more unreliable and harder to use, or if âtoo powerfulâ you have to be careful how you hit the ball now.
I've had ~five of these go 'bad' but it's not really correct to say good/bad. All of a sudden my paddle didn't become uncontrollable. For some, they just got a bit more powerful and stayed there, they were just right, in the Goldilocks zone. For others, they progressed to the point of ridiculous uncontrollable power.
Will is just flashing gang signs and pretending to be talking about paddles
