Deborah Harry & The Jazz Passengers - The Tide is High (Live from NYC 2.26.19)

Just unearthed this video from my files of a very memorable evening! Deborah Harry reunited with The Jazz Passengers for the JPMP 2019 Gala. Held at Ideal Glass Studio in Manhattan's Lower East Side, it was an intimate evening with just 100 guests. Debbie and the Jazz Passengers performed many of their songs they wrote together, and it was a fantastic way to end the evening by pulling out a Blondie classic! I was a few glasses of wine in at this point, so please forgive my singing, laughing and unsteady camera work! 1st best part of the night - Cyndi Lauper (making an appearance at 4:44) was sitting directly behind me. After the show ended, I asked her if I could get a picture with her. She shot me a disgusted, disapproving look basically telling me no and commented "eh, I worked all day" LOL. Newsflash - so did I and everybody else! 2nd best part of the night - I DID get a photo with Debbie, who was so gracious after she came out from backstage...chatted with fans and took a few photos on her way out. All in all, a truly wonderful event (and I use the "eh, I worked all day" all the time now!!)
