- Here's probably the most difficult track I've patched. Although I've only highlighted a couple of the new modules, there are not many that I didn't use! A patch like this really showed some weaknesses in the system, like; Still not enough patch cables, module placement and lack of better control modules for certain things.
Improvised parts played on keyboard were Novation Peak for the lead synth brass played on the Keystep and Omnisphere 2 for the intro played on the Akai MPK.
I wish I could write some detailed patch notes, but I can't make head or tails of this mess myself now.
Quite a lot of samples used in this one, via Bitbox and Assimil8or.
Recorded direct to DAW in one take, no overdubs.
Please like and subscribe if you enjoyed the music, and want to be notified of new uploads.

I noticed after reading the chat replay again, that I missed quite a few questions. Sorry about that, it was moving to quick for me. Ask away here if you have any!
State Azure you probably know this already, but I’ve heard you can slow down the chat speed
Have you released any sample packs? So many incredible sounds in here
Man, this sounds like Subnautica's soundtrack a lot at some points. Have you ever listened to that OST?
Merry Christmas.
Wow! Simply outstanding. Haven't heard a better piece on CZcams. I’m surprised that only 31K views in one year, it should have been many many times more. Please keep up the good work.
Thanks so much!
I only regret is that I can't "like" this one more than once!
One of your best - as a fellow electronic musician this is quite remarkable for a live take! Thank you.
Your channel has become my go to place for the perfect background music while I work and play at my desk. Worth listening to over and over and over... OH... and I'm AMAZED that you pull this off as a series of live streams. Mind Blown.
Wonderful, just wonderful. Glorious textures and loads of movement. Really well crafted track.
masterful, this has so many layers and textures, still it gives out a calm and relaxing mood. fantastic work sir.
Thank you, Marcos :)
This man definitely has something...in his ideas...presentation... And endless process...he is dedicated. TS

Awesome as usual! Love when you put the voices in the mix. You must have a blast trying different sounds out on those things.
Wow!!! Pure eargasm music
Really beautiful and sonically cool. People amaze me. Your amazing!
Just saw Tarantino's 'Once upon a time...in Hollywood' and then I listened and watched this. Wow! Two masterpieces in one day! Love your work, man. Please don't ever stop.
Thank you, Anthony! Looking forward to seeing that movie. :)
Wow! @15:45 looking head-on really is staggering!
As usual, beautiful and atmospheric... Really love the wood-like sound you play on the keyboard. I also love how the piece develops.
Thanks, Marc!
Full and complex, still sounds organized and well thought out. Quite a journey. I like the occasional vocal samples. :)
Wonderful textures! Loving it! 😍
Thanks!
Excellent work! I just discovered your channel after listening to Tangerine Dream. One thing I love most about Ambient music is every composer has a completely different approach.
Glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for the comment!
stunning work, blown away by all the different facettes!
Thanks for checking it out :)
Lov, lov, lov. Great sounds. Thanks for that.
I suppose the beauty of this is that you can never replicate it. How many beautiful lost patches ....
Super groovy and chill. More please xxx
I’d love to see your synth but alas, so many patch cables.... amazing stuff brother!
Best yet. Love its percussion and bass grove behind it. Good lighting levels on this one - God what a mess :)
Cheers, David!
Wow, that's a lot of patch cables! Sounds so good my friend. I love the ever-present bass motif.
Haha, I think my desk started sagging a bit. Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed this one!
No superlatives are perfect to describe this track.......
Wholesome,exquisite and heart warming
Love this track! Cool music for working in the office.... ;-)
And dreaming!
Really appreciate it, thanks!!
Infinitely spectacular 👽
OMG 😲 I'm struggling to find the right word in the dictionary to describe this outstanding production , what an amazing gifted talent you have it is the one and only it is not going to happen again...
Thank you, Ramsey!
That deserve the name "ElectronicMusic"!
Really nice work!
Berlin school all the WAY! Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze, Ashra and now State Azure! You are making fantastic music! It gives me a lot of pleasure listening to it.
From a far away ghost galaxy the navigator came. These are the coordinates ~^~
I have never heard something so beautifully mixed. Everything sounds perfect man, it's so enjoyable!
Just had a chance to listen to the whole thing after catching the tail end of the premier. This is absolutely amazing. It really goes on such a journey. Loved that repetitive bass line that was almost hypnotic. Everything about this was perfect.
Cheers, Cameron. The bass is my favourite part, the whole thing began with the bass, as I was trying out my brand new Clep Diaz and used it to modulate Shapeshifter and this bass just popped out of nowhere! It inspired the rest of the track. Glad you enjoyed it :)
@@stateazure What is the Clep Diaz doing? I looked that module up and it's very interesting and seems powerful for how small (and relatively cheap) it is.
@@shadowfall2823 Yeah it's very well priced I think. I had it modulating Shape 1 on the Shapeshifter with its bipolar output and modulating Filter8 with the unipolar. Now they're just like LFOs, but the clock in and reset inputs along with the steps make it crazy musical and rhythmical. Check out Ricky Tinez's demo with the Clep Diaz, it does a really good job of showing it off when patching different clocks/resets.
@@stateazure Definitely looks like a must-have for that functionality, price, and small hp. A used one would likely be under $100 US. Thanks for the detail! :)
@@shadowfall2823 It's one of those modules for me that turned out way better than expected. So I definitely recommend keeping your eyes out for one :) I even thought about buying two, but then I realised I could actually make my Voltage Block do something very similar/if not the same thing, it's just not as immediate as the Clep.
Man this is classy - love the Peak
Thanks! Yeah, it's so good!
I keep coming back to this, it's a masterpiece...
Thanks, Omri! Really happy that you like it :)
This is amazing good. Love it. All those cables. Sounds great. Greetings from Belgium. Dirk.
Glad you like it!
Wow, Amazing as usual !
You are at the top of my aspirational pyramid, as for many others i am sure. Don't stop.
Really appreciate the comment, thank you!!
Beautiful. Just absolutely ethereal.
Thanks a lot!
I tripped over the laptop power lead and accidentally ripped out the extension lead then spilled my beer on the rug. Awesome sounds my friend!
why have I only just discovered this?
awesome!
That's glorious sounding Patrick!
Super Sound, fantastic music!

Great work... I like the rhythm layer..

Absolute bliss...
I think this one is my favorite of your pieces.

Damn....it’s hypnotic
Perfect Music @ Work!
You are overmodest with this level of controls ))) Your music is awesome!
Glad you like it! Thanks :)
very very nice patch, i am relaxt :)
This is amazing....
This is a good example of the equation : QGPM == HOT , where QGPM (Quark-Gluon-Plasma Music). Looking forward to see your next performance. This is not a life distraction this is life.
Todas suas músicas são incríveis...sem palavras pra descrever a sensação de ouvi-las😍
Great !!!!! Good work

The samurai has arrived on the native American space station.
I have no words, something beautiful. 💛
Thanks, Ariel!
Airports ? Freakin’ Everywhere, lol 🌎. Listening all day, thanks😈
Man you should do film scores ...that was epic
you shall and can add links to your utube videos from bandcamp. each track video, it will be bentficial :) glad i read description, otherwise wouldn't see this magic.
Спасибо за твой талант 👍🙇
Shit goes. Bless.
Audio heaven , definitly one of your best track s yet , but where did you start with the patch leads lol , another masterpiece cheers for your inspiring music
Thank you :) It does look crazy complicated eh, but it started off so simple!
Really well done! even more impressive because it was recorded in one take (and the video quality is superb, even the darks are clean! - did you run a noise reduction?). You just got a new subscriber!
Thanks a lot! I can't remember if I ran noise reduction or not, I probably didn't though because it adds a lot of time to the video rendering. Thank you for subbing!
Fantastic track! The amount of layers and how they evolve is impressive. Do you ever play live in venues? I guess that the logistics with all your equipment would be complicated, but it would be great to attend such a gig!
Thanks, Urtzi. I don't do live venues unfortunately, if I did I would use a much smaller set up.
@@stateazure I think you should try and set yourself up to play live mate. You have great ability. I played as a DJ for 20 years and moved into production a bit more. I don't do so much these days though to be honest. I'm missing the groove a bit. Just a glitch though. Since you re-ignited my soul with your grooves.
Love the ambient music that you create, must say though it must be a bitch when a cable goes down in that rats nest
Nice ambient.. like vangelis.. blade runner
Quality
Hi State Azure me again. Good chatting the other night. Question I seem to be asking a lot of people but what camera(s) do you use to video this fabulous video? The quality is amazing.
You too! The video is shot on a Panasonic G7 (might be a G70 in the US), using a 25mm Prime Leica lens.
Cheers for info excellent results with it. I will have to look at mine and maybe learn how to use it properly. 😆
Great performance! This Intellijel case is 104 or 84 hp?
Thanks! 84hp
I want to see you set up some of these sounds and how you arrange all the patch cords. And the sounds change. Can you do that?
I don't do tutorials, but you can watch my video for 'Luminous' which kind of does that and has text along with the patching.
WOW
A way out thought ? Like Tron & Lawnmower man imagine being absorbed into those modulars being able to bring forth any aspect of tone, frequency, bass, notes, samples etc in a instant? Meaning your the database? ? Will we ever exhaust our range in music ?
Guess it's beyond heads and tails- that happens..
LOVE IT!
few questions please.
What creates the high frequencies texture and where the percussion sounds ware coming from (Kick Clap/snare etc...)?
Thank you, Noam. I'm not sure what part you mean, is it the glitchy high frequency part that comes in after the intro?
State Azure yes, right after the intro :)
@@NBSStudioMusic That's Plaits through Chronoblob2 and EG by Stages. I'm using S+H to modulate a bunch of stuff, L/R delay times, decay on the envelope, and I think Harmonics and Morph on Plaits. I think the sequencing was Vector in random mode.
