I use to use these before switching to Accelera Badak X-treme tyres. Those CST tyres work great for mudding here in Brunei. Awesome video with alot of useful information 😄
I wouldn't expect Brunei to have much mud, that's cool! What other terrain do you have to play with?
@@OffroadAddictionTV Mostly mud in the forest areas and some areas like the Borneo Safari with river crossings and all 😁
@@ChuggieBuggie awesome! That sounds like a good time
@@OffroadAddictionTV tsl thornbird. tyres.. ausie, saw them 10 yrs ago,, was going to buy one as a spare on the rear.. just for laughs.. damn agessive..never seen tyres like it..
How do you rate the Badak compared to the CST?
oosh a set of 31s would be sick for my zook... the problem i am having with mine at the moment is rubbing though, when i turn the wheel it rubs on the spring
15x8 rims with some offset should work!
@134 Motorsport we have 15x8 thinking about spacers but that ruins the point of a zuk🤷
No harm with spacers on a 413, you won’t be any wider than a samurai which is 100mm wider than 413
@@134motorsport ok sweet definitely having a look at those, im taking it out this weekend and i have not got the cage installed from the last time i rolled it and bent the roof up so got to take it easy this time 😬
Man 😂😂 I had to pause because of your “inferior, sorry..” 😂😂
I must agree as I am from Romania.
I search everywhere for reviews about Cl98 and I found nothing. I want to put there on my discovery 3 ( 31.10.5r17 ).. yeah.. I know I’m crazy but I love that car ( more than my jku 😊)
In Europe we just had premiere of CST in size 39x12.5r16
Yes, beautiful looking tyre. Coming soon worldwide also! Can't wait to see them in action
I’m in aus and always ran 15” rims but now have 16” rims
Would be mint to be able to source a set of the 36/12.5/16 where could I source them mate
Been an awesome video heaps of info keep up the good work mate🤘
Sorry man missed your comment. No current supplier in Aus at the moment but I keep getting asked about them so maybe one day we can help get them there. You could try your local Maxxis dealer as a starting point. The 37x12.5x16 Dragon Claw could also be an awesome option for you.
Are you nuts 31 on a pajero jr or a little suzuki maybe if you changed the diffs and fitted a bigger engine and chopped the bodywork
Please review the new CST tyre model CST Dragon Claw...they say it much better then this land dragon model
Coming soon!
How are they on the road in the rain? I saw C888 here in Croatia so I'm curious.
Not really the type of tyre you would buy to drive on the road but judging on the on road performance of the CL98 M-King, I would say they would perform well for the type of tyre it is! CST have good design and good compounds in their range.
@@OffroadAddictionTV thanks! I appreciate it. 🙋♂️
Whats pro and con of the CST vs the treps
Sorry missed your comment, depends on what size and what type of terrain you wheel on and what compound Treps etc. Both great options though
How would these perform on ice n snow? The CL 18 ones?
With my limited amount of time snow wheeling I would say you would be better off with Maxxis Trepadors, wider and flatter profile will help and work better than a skinnier aggressive tyre that won't want to float on top as much.
@@OffroadAddictionTV saw some Russian vid where the guys literally did extreme snow off road with cl 18.
Anyways Thanks man👍🏻
@@maverickforever I have no doubt they will work, but you would definitely want crawler gears, 10" wide wheels for a flatter profile over 8" and beadlocks so you can run them near empty, wheel spin in snow with those tyres on you will just go straight down in most scenarios if it's fairly fresh.
@@OffroadAddictionTV ♥️bro sooo nice to see you reply n that too suggestively helpful man. Thanks man sooo much subscribed ma to you for your honesty n helpful attitude.
@@maverickforever you are welcome, cheers!
Those kinda remind me of the ww2 willys jeep tires..
Running the 36" 12.5 on my y61 wagon, aired down to 9psi and they work like a charm short - czcams.com/users/shorts9CSWwdiT_AU POV but still the same tires - czcams.com/video/NSb-YZ6QlTE/video.html&ab_channel=MartinSitas They also run very well in snow - czcams.com/users/shortsMZr_JsSy8-g
Awesome! Where are you from Romania?
@@OffroadAddictionTV Close, Slovakia, region called Orava (lots of mountains and hills) I am also a volunteer for a rescue system, been a part of a lot of search and rescue operations with my y61, had to tackle really rough terrain. In winter I was the only car to drive where it was needed, even quads and buggies couldn't make it... These tires are still very underrated.
@@jamatono hell yeah man that's awesome! Looks like some good terrain to wheel in. Good on your for helping with SAR stuff!
@@OffroadAddictionTV Thanks man, like your vids, keep up the good work. If possible, can you make another CST review after you've done a few runs with them? Just how you would compare them to other brands? Dare I say to the all mighty treps? :D
@@jamatono thanks trying to get back into making more content again! These ones have gone back, they were just on loan to make the video but we will have some content coming from the new CL21M Dragon Claw and the CL98 Mud King. Not sure if we will do a comparison though as there are alot of variables
Hiya what would the 33 be worth?...cheers
Hi, it will depend on where in the world you are, as prices will vary. Best to check with your local distributor for accurate pricing
@@OffroadAddictionTV Even just a rough price in Auckland
@@toniwrathall8206 for the 33s i think it's around $500ea
Where can I order?
Any good tyre shop that sells CST or Maxxis should be able to order them for you if they don't stock it.
Where’s the Sami 😢
Outside rusting away 🤣
33 weighs less than my g003 yokies
Looks like you lost weight
A couple grams here and there 😂
