as a serpent hunter myself, I approve this message. I would like to add some extra tips for solo safaris gamers. 1. tasty mead gives a 10 second stamina regen boost that can be very helpful if you are running out of stam but still too far from land. 2. slowing the speed of your ship allows your stamina to regen some while the noodle is not pulling against your line. 3. all other mobs in the game will attack danger noodles so it can be helpful to drag serpents to shores with other baddies present ( I prefer swamps as the leeches do a number on sea serpents). 4. if you mark your map at each serpent spawn event, you will build up a generalized area of SS locations that you can return to repeatedly to farm meat and trophies. 5. the SS trophies make heavy fish bait, the only way to fish for tuna and cod. 👍
I'm assuming you guys are married or dating (could be totally wrong sorry if so) but the fact that you guys game together and make content for Valheim together is just super fucking cool. It's a lot of dudes and gals dreams to find someone who likes gaming just as much as they do. Keep on doing ya thangs!!!!
In solo play I like to lure it close to shore first, maybe even jump out of the ship, and only harpoon for the last bit. Typically I don't even use mead.
I had a leviathan flip and destroy my boat once... wasn't even up against it. At the start we could jump off the boat to its back but I took off early and got it ready to roll while my brother continued mining till he was in the water and the plan was he would tread water in place and I would bring the boat in to pick him up. Suddenly the boat started doing flips and rolls then exploded. Been kinda weary about mining chitin ever since.
I noticed a lot of cuts in the video. Like some situations needed to be dealt with off screen then cut to the end. Line tension is something you didn't mention, trolling at 1 speed to reserve stamina, and hitting each chitin once before harvesting to prolong the leviathan's reaction time. I haven't hunted a sea serpent yet but from my research i think this video could use some more details less display of accomplishment
It takes a bit of time to find multiple sea serpents. Of course there are cuts; we tried to keep the video under 10 minutes. We truly appreciate feedback and appreciate you taking the time to watch the video, but advice such as keeping the boat at speed 1 just isn’t advice that I would recommend. Speed one will help with stamina management, but also puts your boat at risk of damage from the serpent. The real solution isn’t going slow; it’s having adequate stamina food and stamina management. The last thing you want is to have your boat destroyed while at sea. As someone who has hunted more serpents than I can count, I can assure you that the method we presented is solid. I highly encourage you to go hunt some serpents; while a CZcams video can give you some pointers, actual first hand experience is how you learn what is effective.

Ancient Valheim proverb. We think.

Great tips! I always forget about tasty mead!

We are living the dream! 🥹 Thank you for taking the time to watch!
I like your guys's videos. I always come back to your channel when I'm trying to learn stuff about the game.
Hey thank you so much! It’s always great to hear when someone finds these videos helpful. 😀
Thanks for the guide. I will try this out. Hope it works as well for solo
Good luck hunting danger noodles!

I've even beached my boat and the serpent followed up on land.
