Cool, and yes, I did look at his theory.
There is a couple flaws in your logic, Twilight gave up her alicorn hood and because of equestria girl Twilight for breaking the statue in there world, they would 1 point be at 50 50 in magic so she had to make a choice fast! Because the equestria girls have gotten used to the magic Twilight sparkle in the world of ponies thought it would be a good idea to store all of the equestrian magic in the 3 pony crystals! Three of the leader tribes where then handed there crystals and you know what happens next.
@@jinxx4655 I actually don't believe in that theory by Sawtooth. Think about this, if Alicorns could turn back to their original pony race by giving up magic, why didn't Twilight turn back to normal after Tirek absorbed all of her magic in the season 4 finally? The same goes for the other Alicorns in those two episodes. That means that, at least as far as I can tell but I could be wrong, that Twilight couldn't have given up her Alicornhood in the first place. But don't get me wrong, I love Sawtooth's theories. Just remember that these are all just theories. They are neither right nor wrong until proven otherwise.

Here's a little interesting theory, the cute ceañera. What if it actually had an important job aside from just celebrating the cutie marks? It may seem a little far fetched but hear me out, what if cute ceañeras are a necessity for young ponies to do because it helps "settle" their magic. Remember the cutie pox? That strange condition that swept ponies that appeared out of nowhere? That same condition that also mysteriously disappeared. Well my theory is that way back then, ponies didn't know they had to celebrate their cutie marks coming in, so that lead to uncontrollable cutie marks until each pony found their own way to celebrate their unique talent, some pony in the past may have suggested a big party to celebrate their friends cutie marks and found that only those who attended the celebration was "cured" either that or the entire town attended the party and all of them was cured therefore having the "mysterious" cure of the condition that was mentioned in the book that Twilight was reading. And now, you may be thinking "Well what about Twilight? She didn't like parties!" And yes, she didn't, but perhaps the most important thing about the cute ceañera is to celebrate who you are, and as long as Twilight did that in her own way then she would have been fine. What do you think?

I also want to add that even though Twilight doesn't like parties much; we have seen her very willingly celebrate parties on multiple occasions. Even as a foal she was no stranger to celebrations, she pushed herself to see the Summer Sun celebration after all so she mostlikely had one planned.

I kept thinking the same thing when I saw the movie, it made me confused how they lost magic but they still got their cutie marks when it’s kinda formed by magic.
what if Twilight helped discord to create the crystals and she divided her alicorn magic and when she gave away her alicorn magic she was again a mortal normal unicorn and afterwards she died like everyone else and slowly everyone forgot about her (inspired by sawtooth's theory)
It may have been more than a thousand years passed since g4. I can only persume that Twilight and all other ponies died in this extremely long period of time.

The conflict probably came first, for some reason, twilight couldn't end the conflict the way she usually could, the windagos were closing in. Someone had to bind the magic that made the 3 of them different to the Cristals. If they unight, they get the magic back; if they conflict, they get it taken away again.
Not a bad theory, I can agree, but it is still questionable whether the G5 and G4 are connected. Although I hope they are.

Same, I've always wondered what happened to Twilight Sparkle, if G5 was meant to be a continuation rather a sequel to G4 considering that it is still the same Equestria, what events might've happened before that lead to the division if the three pony tribes? I mean G5 is a reboot because instead we having a Mane 6, we get the Mane 5. By the way, awesome theory I really enjoyed watching! Can't wait for more!
What about every creatures in Equestria that are united each other and what happened to them as well?

I actually learned gen 5 fixes an error that gen 4 had, which was the cutie marks. Prior to gen 4 and on almost every toy and figurine only has them on one side of the flank. I never realized because I wasn't born until around gen 3 but never started watching till gen 4
I was wondering, from season 4 Twilight kingdom we know that tirek can take flight of Pegasus and strength of earth ponies but in season 9 the ending of the end when tirek took the magic of Celestia and Luna he was only able to take unicorn magic so did he on purpose left some magic or what?

I've just seen your video and it's exactly what I've been thinking. And to highlight this theory, we can also see when Tirek steals the ponies' magic, they loose their cuty marks and are left lying on the ground. But an other thing is that in reality, even then, they didn't loose entirely there magic because with the magic of friendship and being able to support themselves all together, they've been able to create their own magic in a way. I think that this new generation has just been used to create a part of their own magic, even though it's not like Twilight's generation, and in a way, they got stronger.

What if Twilight Sparkle is hiding in some kind of Secret hide out trying to plan how to stop Opaline.
Since she maybe doesn't know enough to stop Opaline she is secretly planing things without all of Equestria knowing so Opaline can't find out anything

There's something that doesn't sit right with this theory, if you've seen sawtooth Waves video on the fate of twilight sparkle, you'll know that sawtooth believes that the reason no one mentions her is not because she's a traitor but because she sacrificed herself to save Equestria by sacrificing her alicornhood to prevent the loss of magic due to some magical calamity, she did this by creating the three crystal artifacts seen in the new generation, overtime after she disappeared presumably dead due to old age as we know becoming an alicorn makes you practically immortal due to starswirls spell, having lost that she would have died to old age and subsequently her memory fades to sands of time with the only mention of her is on a stained glass window and a singular mention by Izzy(sic) I don't really believe twilight was a traitor, I mean they could have falsely believed twilight to be a traitor I'll admit that, but I don't think twilight would actually betray Equestria like that, I don't think princess Celestia would have been too happy with that, not angry, more like disappointed.

I'm still trying to figure out why the pegasi need magic to fly?
I think if they really lost all their magic, they would just be... Regular horses. Nor wings or horns or connection to the earth (or other celestial bodies), no bright colors, no powers or cutie marks, or even the ability to speak or higher sentience. Just regular, grass grazing ponies. We don't have a specific timeline to go off of, but I would think after enough generations of ponies, their colors would start to fade and they would just become regular animals again without any magic influencing their genetics

Unfortunately, there is a Canon g5 comic that answers what happened to discord and no he did not case the collapse of Equestria, it was Opalean who did.
I have this weird theory of what he Christal's might actually be made out of. What if the Christal's were made with the ,magic of the windigos or at least they are trap inside them somehow. I find it hard to believe that for hunders of years of ponies hating each other they didn't appear ones but as soon as the christals got put together and the ponies started to argue near it a storm at of all things came out of it. It would also explain what the hole thong might be, maybe is sucking them into the same prison the windigos are.
POV : all the ponies revolted ageinst twighlight and killed her off in a huge war

but according to twilight sparkle reign when opaline attack ponyville and spread chaos and disharmony three pony races hate each other but twilight had no choice to seal all the magic into the three crystals because she can't help everypony and couldn't help them to listen maybe twilight had no idea to seal all the magic in all equestria so who pony or creature who spread friendship the magic last long that's why twilight can't handle those ponies and create a crystals to handle to the next generation who spread the magic?
Unfortunately, the only one cutie mark thing is just because it looks better in 3d. But other than that the theory makes some sense.

Thank you. I did see that video but there's one thing I can't understand with it. Why would every pony forget who Twilight was if she sacrificed her alicorn hood to save magic? At the same time, Alicorns don't unbecome Alicorns when they loose all of their magic. Evident by Cozy Glow still being able to fly after she unbecome an Alicorn. While Twilight gave Tirek all of her magic in the season 4 finally. Evident by her loss of a cutie mark and her eye color. Yet she was still an Alicorn.

My theory is that ponies never truly lost their magic because they never truly lost friendship. The friendship between the tribes is what activated the crystals, but there was still friendship within the tribes, like how Sunny was friends with Hitch at the very beginning, which is what gave ponies their cutie marks. My question is, how would a pony even get a cutie mark or know that they’ve gotten one or what they are if there was no magic?
