Imo one of the only people who can capture it without coming off too corny but instead inspiring like the song "Kevin" or "Drug Dealer" but I love that song "Fallin'" as well...and of course "The Otherside" based on that RHCP beat

@@maxxmarino6500 i knew Macklemore real distantly back when he was just Ben and before everyone knew him as an artist. Just a chill dude who did music. And yeah, those tracks are real af. Nothing corny about it, he went through it, it’s not an act which is why his music comes off that way. He’s actually a great artist, great roots and i hope he gets to show it off more. I might be biased because old Mack brings me back to high school, it reminds me of hanging with friends who i probably will never see again and some who can’t. Glad you like his stuff though, it’s dope af to see someone you knew’s work reach people.

It would be dope if it was made then, but coming from him now feels kind of disingenuous...being in recovery and all. The song is dope...just wish he brought it back with a bit of adult reflection and coming to terms with how following that path got him fucked up. I think that's where he shines the most, when he taps into that deeper honesty.

Grew up in Seattle and used to see him every few months around town at random shows. Vs. EP was the first and last 10/10 release of his, since then they have all just been a few solid tracks per release.
