"Win A Dream Date With Simon"
A reality show with some dating in it but mostly you follow Simon around watching Simon do Simon things. Be sure to toss him into a few situations foreign to him that will baffle him and make him blush in every episode. I'm telling you (although everyone kind of already knows it), that semi-brain dead Kraut is totally watchable. The idiot has star power up the wazoo. He just does.
He shouldn't but he does. Put it together right, sell it right, advertise it right if you get anywhere with it and it'll be a hit. I guarantee it.
And if Simon refuses to take part, punch him in the face. Repeatedly.
You gotta be firm with these German bastards.
the best film crew in disc golf keep up the great work JP!!
Congrats to Adam Hammes on an awesome breakout performance! And of course to Ricky on two in a row!
Jomez Productions, you guys rock, thanks! Nearly as happy for McCray as I am Ricky Wysocki. Met he ( McCray ) and his wife recently, great people.
After playing this course twice during worlds, I can tell you from experience they are making this course look WAY easier than it plays!!!
This course is very difficult and they are proving why they are on top.
i was watching the last hole on the f9 and whammy the b9 notif pops up. thank you!
John E McCray 44 years old coming in 3rd in Open at Worlds... if thats not inspiration , i dont know what is. Awesome
I'm 44 and inspired!! I'm going to start playing tournaments next year and renewing my pdga #.
Great job Ricky. Unbelievable play! Was a true treat to watch.
Excellent video, Jomez! Excellent commentary to the boys in the booth! Big Jerm, you just keep getting better and better man!
WOW! What a game Ricky played! ALL these guys did great.
100% pure, concentrated awesome! Just add Ricky, and stir!
So happy to see McCray finish strong in top four. It was suspenseful to see him overtaken for first after his -12 round as I was really rooting for him. Congrats to Ricky for averaging -10.25 per round, just insane.
jomez has steped up the production quality a ton! I am so grateful. I loved watching golf before, but now it is incredible. I can't say enough good things. thanks guys! keep it up!
That's how its done ricky, good shit!!
Awesome coverage and commentaries! Thank you you team Jomez!
Awesome job Jomez...congrats RW on going back to back...SOCKIBOMB2X WORLD CHAMP
Thank You Jomez Pro... Coverage just keeps getting better ! Congratulations to all the players !
Thank you for your great coverage!
Finally got to finis watching the worlds coverage. absolutely amazing work. Thanks so much for all of your hard work!
"Ricky's leaving with a bogey, who cares." haha Great round Rick and big thanks to the Jomez crew.
2x with many more to come. But watch out for Adam... what a solid round from a young man.
So great congrats Ricky and the coverage was amazing
Congrats to the winner. Amazing coverage!
The coolest looking text I have ever seen for the word "world's" amazing coverage as always!
......Just can't say enough about what you guys do. Between you and CCDG we FINALLY have some clean DG coverage. Thank you all for what you do! Love to see this sport continue to grow. Soon we'll own the sports center top 10. Keep up the good work!!!
Jomez, you guys rock! Incredibly awesome coverage and great commentary by Big Jerm and our Arizona boy Paul Uli. Glad to see John E. took a chill pill today or had a stern talking to by his wife. LOL! :)
Loved the coverage, big congrats to the victor!!!
Jomez another amazing coverage!!! Congrats Ricky again and i love that McCray is kicking ass !! Huge fan of Johne
What a play by Wysocki through this tournament. Amazing! Had hoped for a more dramatic last round, but he´s just been to good.
Sgtqman19 The thing is, your opinion doesn't matter. They played 4 rounds, they knew they were going to play 4 rounds. Ricky slaughtered for 4 rounds. Paul was still 8 strokes back. These are facts. The opinion that Paul would have caught up in 3 more rounds is ignorant and childish. They played a lot of golf, Ricky separated himself from the field rather easily. He even just enjoyed the last round and still had 7 birdies in a row. Come on now, congratulate the professional that won instead of complaining about the format.
Lots of factors come into Paul trying to catch up! But Ricky gets that big of a lead he plays differently. If Paul got closer Ricky would play more aggressive. Not so that it wouldn't be possible but highly unlikely especially how Ricky is playing.
Thanks Jomez
The production value continues with excellence. Please Keep the Big Jerm on the mic. So good!
Big Jerm is fantastic on these, I agree!
Thanks
We need to start adding the O/U line for how many times Jerm says, "picture perfect."
Add "wow" to that list.
Ricky wysocki is the best as of now. I love this sport!!
Wow, watching Adam, who is obv super good, hack up this course shows how bloody hard it is and how amazing guys like Ricky are.
Thank you guys very good comentry!
JOMEZ IS THE BEST!!!
saying "sure" in the middle of someone else talking 800 times. other than that, perfection.
BOOM
Ferocious turbo tap in.
Fuck yeah! Go Ricky!!!
omg I came so close to reading the comments before watching ... damn that was close
Ricky is the TIGER WOODS of disc golf
Chris Miller
Yes, he is a tiger in the woods hunting for those birdies ;)
More like the Paige Pierce of MPO.
A little alden harris sighting at 0:32
Did anyone else dislike the format this year? 4 rounds without a final 9? I know Koling said they "play the same amount of golf" but that's not even close. 2014 = 403 strokes | 2015 = 356 strokes | 2016 = 288 strokes | 2017 = 229 strokes. Those are the stroke totals of the winner each year. Sticking with only two courses was also a mistake. Just something about this year wasn't fun to watch and seemed like any other A-tier.
I actually preferred this year over previous tournaments. I like that they didn't have age protected divisions. I like that it was the best golfer wins. I love the courses.
Definitely needs to be more rounds. McBeth being -72 a couple years ago after six rounds is kind of ridiculous, but A) that was on waaaaay easier courses, and B) four rounds on two courses just seems like cutting it a bit short to decide for 365 days the "world's best disc golfer".
This year's Worlds did not feel right. It was just like any 4 round tournament. It did not stand out at all. Not a bit! Unfortunate......!!
I don't think we need 7 rounds, but I think we need at least a final 9. The final 9 is awesome. Huge crowd, bunch of cheers as everyone holes out. It's iconic. Everyone always talks about marketing and growing the sport and everything, but things like this are what we need. Do it big. Go 110% right at the last minute when everyone's looking. People obviously like to have fun and the final 9 is fun. I would personally love to see some cool temp courses put in for final 9's. Props and thanks to everyone who made worlds play and coverage(great coverage) happen this year. However, this one reminded me a bit of Times Square on new years eve (ball dropped).
Personally prefer shorter format, Less chance of injuries, better for players. Also gives the older players a little more chance at making it into the final round.
Yo there’s Alden Harris!
There's no way I could have thrown hole15 with that cameraman right in front of the tee.
I kinda held a beef with McCray after the whole "potty break" issue with Paul a year or two back. Seemed like a pouty move against a player who was beating him. However, the more I see him, the more I read and hear stories of him play, the more I see his demeanor on and off the course, he really seems like a stand up guy. Cheers, JohnE. Plus, 45 years old and still kicking ass? Can't wait to see him here in my hometown for Pro Worlds Masters.
Trevor Reniger are you from Kansas City?
I hope this win finally silences anyone saying Ricky hasn't proved he's the best in the world. Btb world championships and by a solid margin on both. No one is as good as Ricky right now and that should be recognized. Super excited for him
Ricky and Paul.. man.. it's a toss up. Two world class players who swap leadership ... So great.
Edit: What a sick round from Ricky.. was about halfway through first reply!
JMRSplatt as of now i wouldn't say a toss up Ricky is steamrolling everybody and it's just not by a couple Strokes he's in a league of his own. not taking away from Macbeth cuz Macbeth is a monster
I think one reason Ricky doesn't get the respect you think he should is all the danged marketing. Nobody is going to say that, so they're just like yeah he's almost as good as Paul.
Maybe Paul should wear shirts with 'MCBEAST' in giant letters all over it.
(What does traditional Japanese liquor have to do with disc golf or Ricky's game anyway?)
First of all, losing by 8 is not catching up. He only gained 3 strokes the last round. That's nothing. Second, it's silly to argue he would have won if he had more time. They both knew there were only four rounds. Paul couldn't capitalize within the time allotted. It's not like when Jerm won usdgc bc of unexpected rain cancellation. Ricky one fair and square and by a lot. He is better than Paul.
he won by "a solid margin" during this world championship. Last year when he won, it was by playoff to McBeth.
Great coverage. Best production values.
Ricky and Paul on the same card would have been more interesting... too bad Paul couldn't make that happen. Looking forward to seeing more coverage of Hammes. Looks like he has a strong and balanced game. The JohnE and Simon fight for 3rd created some good dynamics and drama. Big Jerm sounded tired and needs a better foil. Tell Sexton he needs a break from diaper duty (doodie) and setup some split studio commentary. If you can get around the synch delays and dropouts (H2 patch in?) somehow it could really work well.
I think I see Alden Harris! 0:30
a 1000' hole at 20' per throw would be 50 shots there big jerm :) #mathishard hahhaha just messin with ya. great commentary as per usual
Jeremy, please don't start talking in bulletin points like Avery Jenkins... great coverage Jomez. thanks!
hay Jomez! :) How about coloring the FollowFlight (TM) with a tick mark every like 1 second? Maybe half second ticks? Just a thought. I was thinking when I saw the overlays of all the throws on a pad, very cool, that it would be neat to put a timing tick on the FollowFlight. So at each 1 second interval a small different colored tick mark would appear on the track and stay there.
That has to be Alden Harris in the intro right?
Koling does some nice little commentating. 😏 #NothingButLove
Oh my gosh johne actually used a forehand 😲
ohh boy I'm nervous shouldn't be it's basically over but I'm hoping for the impossible
nevermind we lost that's ok at least he got an excellent putt to finish it off
That spin is insane! Spinning on the ground lmao 25:56
Simon Laysup!
Paul Ulibarri - "Simon and Ricky were signing discs for babies and stuff..." LMAO IM DYING DUDE
I think that's steve hill and not uli
Sounds like something Uli would say though lol, love him
That bomb at 26:45. Damn!
How come all the prior tourneys i watched... Texas disc side of heaven... The stats updated far more often and like gave each player on the cards score and up down and gave the card line up order but the worlds doesnt...? Idk not saying just saying it seems like the production value of the worlds is sub the lesser comps... But hey props to the crew and innova for bringing televised disc to fruition!!!
Ok this 9 has that all but the prior didnt... My b
When they say that McCray doesn't throw forehands, they missed on hole 12 where he throws one from his knees.
the age of rick has begin....
on the front 9, Big Jerm went on and on about how there are no "easy shots"...then on hole 12 alone he described at least 4 throws as EASY...haha...
@2:45 Jeremy mistakes Ricky Wysocki for Simon Lizotte.
so wats the difference between this "worlds" and the one Nate sexton won?
Ricky has been better on open courses but now he seems to handle tight forest courses like Paul has. Slightly to Ricky my points (well... quite easily). Paul isn't the machine he used to. European open in Finland has turned to Paul in recent years but hope Ricky takes that skin this time.
Dam Simon.. i love you.. But Y U DO DIS!?
LeBron James is the Ricky Wysocki of basketball.
2:48.. get your names right Big Jerm! Step your game up man damn
Ricky looking like tiger woods at pebble beach. Runaway
Did Koling make a League of Legends reference at 24:26?
Demacia lmao
Spin to win?
It’s a common saying. League wasn’t the first one to use it.
Did anyone film the women?
Prodigy
Big Jerm - You didn't catch McCray's forehand on hole 11.... He slipped another one into this 9 lol
Hole 17... did Adam say "Wow, fuck this, dude..."?
So Ricky has his Compass, now surely he'll get a dagger with his name on it, right?
I'd say Felon... but he's not DD...
I'm starting to question whether or not Ricky is actually human
Here in 2021 - why does Steve Hill paired with Jeremy Koling sound like SexyBarri 😂
Firstly, I appreciate you and the others coverage! Secondly, I saw a blog of Will Shusterick at a tournament, where the alarm goes off in the hotel room with 4 guys sharing a room. All I could think was he is one of the best and deserves more than prize money that doesn't even cover the expenses. Everyone involved with Disc Golf seems to be in it for the love of the game, but so much more could be accomplished. I have an idea but let me preface by saying I'm not sure of the compensation on CZcams, but I do know young kids act like idiots, post a 7 minute video and they are millionaires! So combine your efforts with others that you share tourney coverage. With all the subscribers, weeding out the ones who have subbed to more than I of the channels, you would probably start with 100k eager new subscribers. Let them know they will be in on the foundation of something great and subscription comes with a cost. $5 donation and have them each get 3 new involved and subscribed. You could start with 400k subs and $500,000k to make this a professional, combined production with coverage similar to the PGA. You would grow expotentially and have local and show sponsorships. This game should be THE sport to watch with viewers of all ages. As it grows, you will be deservingly compensated and have money for higher purses and promoting the game and charities. I've been playing for 40 years ( starting with a whamo and tree trunks ) I'm losing my eyesight and can't see the baskets, so I play my course ( Oshtemo. Mi ) by feel. I wish I could do more to make this sport what it deserves to be, but you guys are able and have the professionalism and core group to pull this off! As for us who watch and love the game, promote the Hell out of it by telling others about the channel, maybe helping out some beginners or giving some young kid a couple discs, etc. Imagine in a year you have over a million subs and ten thousand fans in the gallery watching Paul battle Ricky for a $100,000 first prize! It would grow expotentially Andrew the other guys making bank by placing in the top ten. I know it is not that easy, but it's really not that difficult. I will assist in any way possible and I'm sure there are many others with willingness because of the love for Disc Golf. You could probably summon hundreds of volunteers with experience and knowledge at each tourney. Nothing like disc golf people. Enough small time coverage when the untapped market is vast. Just sayin. Thanks for your consideration.
GREAT coverage guys!!
Sorry Mr. Koling but I was dying after this: czcams.com/video/ynkIlAZ4SQE/video.html
:D
So many foot faults.
WTF is up with the rule that they would've taken 2nd round scores as final IF it would've rained out in 4th round?! Ridiculous, archaic stuff right there.
It is because they have A and B pools. Meaning A pool is playing on one course and B pool is playing on the other course. SO after two rounds they had both played the courses 1 time each. I agree the rule is retarded and needs to be addressed immediately!!!
Ah, McBeth disliked, come on Paul :P
Jeremy, please don't refer to Adam Hammes as "the kid." It's slightly condescending.
He was 18 at the time
Pretty frustrated with the commentary, applauding Ricky for every throw, and Adam Hammes gets lucky or is inexperienced so doesn’t know better. Just disappointing.
congrats to ricky. great job again by jomez.
the course had series issues. making holes super long is not better, actually it makes it more boring and wears out the player.
its not a real test of talent when you make a hole a 1000 feet and put 300 tree's in the way, 20 ppl throwing through a forest its the luckiest shot that makes it not necessarily the most talented shot. the heat, the bug's, the long holes, the ungroomed course all made for a lack luster event. maybe they can get it right next year.
hogleg2 You can't please everyone. Would you complain about the money not being green enough after you won the tourney!?
One doesn't have to play devil's advocate on everything Kodey. He's right - the courses sucked. When half the shots are poke and pray, then it can't be all about talent and skill. We all want a bit of luck in our tournaments, but not half and half.
You are crazy. WR Jackson is a great course. Sorry it wasn't your typical go play in a wide open field course.
The established course was not that bad, but not sure it is a good choice for decider of world champion. The new Navy course was totally unacceptable to host this level of tournament.
