Friday Night Funkin' is a free-to-play and open-source rhythm game. Wow there's a lot here, certainly one of my favorites.
I like that you put related characters in the same side. I think it could allow you to do many turns in the same scene, by using the different characters (if they can sing, that is). And even if they don't sing it still looks really good.
Is that background in Shaggy's solo scene the one from your bullet hell projects? It looks great (awesome shaders magic?) and I think it's pretty fitting.
The notes starting to fade before a cutscene is also a great idea. I assume they are still visible enough for gameplay.
Yeah, it's certainly one of the more unique ones so far.
They were related in the OG mods since that's how Zanta mods usually are, although it does fit with the theme I'm going for. And yes, I can make multiple characters sing at once, so that's not a problem.
Yes, that's the one I use in Godot. What I did was record a sample of the shader into a video, and then play that in the background during the Shaggy scene. I might start using more backgrounds like that, generated with AI, shaders or whatever else I can come up with.
And yes, I made sure that they faded in and out at the right time so it wouldn't be impossible to see the notes that you need to hit.

I remembered when I first saw this guy's video, I'm so tired and going to find some fnf everyone sings it cover, then I found hd animal cover, the "hd" makes me started watching his video, bc I like how he's doing hd sprites instead of og sprites. I remembered that Ythundyth can't handle shaggy and matt's voices, their voices are always higher pitch, then he improved and improved, so this is why i like Ythundyth's cover
