Both good cars, personally I’m leaning toward the Accord. I prefer the non turbo if I’m choosing a non hybrid and I like the traditional transmission . The exterior styling I prefer the Camry, however that’s where my pluses for the Camry end. The ride, I know you didn’t cover that, but I like the Accord. Let’s see if the 2024 Camry gets a good update.

I compared the Honda accord hybrid to the Camry hybrid and I purchased the 2024 Camry hybrid SE. The front has a different design than the Camry you’re showing here and it looks much sportier than the Honda Accord.
Also, the softex is much nicer than the cloth or leather offered by Honda. I am 6‘3“ tall and the Camry has more legroom for the driver as compared to the Honda accord.
I am extremely happy with my new Camry plus, the Toyota dealership was much more pleasant to deal with for me. When I test drove the Honda, the salesman rode shotgun, and I drove, per his directions about 2 minutes, after he wanted to sit down and talk about me buying it. He never asked me what I liked about the car, what color I was interested in or anything about the bells and whistles.
My experience with the Toyota dealership was far different. The salesman showed me the different models of Camry and I chose the model I liked.
Then he said, “do you want to take it for a test drive?” Of course I said yes and he said go ahead, but just don’t turn the car off because of our security system. He also explained about their security system with every car, that, if stolen, they have a GPS system that can pinpoint where the car is in real time.
I took it for a 10 minute drive by myself, which included the surface streets and the freeway, because I wanted to test its get up and go. I came back and purchased the car. There was no haggling on the price, I have no problem, paying MSRP and all of the upgrades that I had wanted were already in the car.

If you're leasing that's no factor. Plus, i believe the '24 FWD Camry LE (base w\ no packages) is about $1.5k less than the base Accord LX is brand new.

So, what are your plans? I am in the market as well, and need to upgrade asap. I have always been a Honda guy, but I no longer trust their reliability. @X3N1TH Před 7 měsíci +1

@sherrikwhiteside6107 I might just end up going with a 2022 or something like that. I have a couple months to decide, but if I can get one with less than 500 miles it's effectively the exact same as the 2024. I currently have an 09' civic si with 230k miles, running like a champ. Though, like you said, their reliability is now potentially a question that needs checked. So, maybe an older camry is the choice. I just really want a very low / 0 miles car that's going to last me a long time, like my si has. I won't be getting rid of it, just a little tired of driving stick shift for 250+ miles every day.

Motor and transmission are still running good, but the car is starting to burn oil, and it currently has a power steering issue. We’re not going to get that kind of reliability out of Honda nowadays. I actually like the looks of the new Accord, but the 1.5t has been garbage, and the hybrids will cost you an arm and a leg. Obviously, I keep my cars a long time, too. I think color really matters with this car. It looks better in certain colors. But, at the end of the day, I’m going to rely on what really matters, reliability and comfort. That’s why I’m leaning towards this vehicle. Oh yeah, someone mentioned a K5 to me.
