  • Nishiyama Honmonji is one of the head temples of the Nichiren sect, and is a temple located in Fujinomiya City, Shizuoka Prefecture.
    It is said to have been founded by Nichiren Shonin in 1260, and in 1344, Nishiyama Honmonji was built with a donation of temple land from Nishiyama Jito Ouchi Ankiyo. After that, it fell into disrepair after several wars, but was rebuilt in the Edo period and continues to this day.

There are also ancient trees that are hundreds of years old and a beautiful garden within the grounds, where you can enjoy nature in all four seasons.
