Solo and X never stopped throwing shade at one another. DMX did it until he passed and Solo will too. Solo was a beast on the mic and his first two albums hold up. First is a classic. But yes, Solo was trained boxer who was nice with the hands. He’s not lying about that.

It is well known from people in Yonkers/Mt Vernon/New Rochelle that DMX was doing the Spellbound style since the 80's. Lord Jamar and Just-Ice both confirmed that they heard X doing it way before Solo was around, and Percee P was in an interview with X and he said himself X was doing it way back in the days

Is it me or is it that everytime when somebody asks him about the whole dmx situation something is not adding up and always says something different from previous interviews. Like in one interview, solo said that when he was doing the lie detector for spellbound when the guy asked him "did dmx write any of the lyrics to spellbound? Solo replied back by saying "No" and he ended getting that one wrong. Years later in the interview that I'm talking about solo says he wish he can go back and say "yes" because he said himself that while they were battling, X had use spellbound against him at the end of the battle or during the battle or something like that. Plus when he mentioned that he saw X at the apollo, he said that X had went to get a gun and now years later in this interview he's saying that X had went to go get his boys. Now which one is it? And for him to say that he went to DMX's grave and started crying as if they were best friends I personally don't believe that shit at all. Oh and another thing while he's talking as if he had the one up on X, in one of his previous interviews he said it himself that the reason why he never responded to get at me dog was because the hit squad (Epmd and Redman) didn't have his back on that. Notice he's always saying something different. He said nobody had his back but in one interview he says redman had his back but in another interview he switches it up by saying Keith Murray had his back. Smh now when he got that answer wrong on the lie detector about X having anything to do with spellbound, what does that tell you? He fails to realize that he did NOT fully pass it. It's sad how this guy is in his 50's and still immature af. A straight jealous ass hater. Nothing adds up when he's talking. Even somebody else from Yonkers that had battled X said that solo had stole spellbound from X. DMX didnt make people feel sorry for him , he was smart in realizing he could connect into the raw soul of the audience by being brave enough to reveal darker parts of his life and vulnerable emotions , battle rap before that was all about boasting and BIG ego, to the point where people knew the braggadocios statements were fabricated, outlandish, and exsaderations and white lies of reality. The average man doesnt relate to the super successful ,happy , confident , bragging guy. Dmx expanded the topics and aspects of life that battles featured. He brought in the common silent self doubt everyone feels , he spoke on the pain hurt sadness frustration everyone tries to suppress. K solo wasnt brave enough of wasnt willing to open himself up like that so DMX beat him. People didnt feel bad , people respected the honesty and were intrigued with a rapper being so honest and realistic about his thoughts. DMX was more mature and a more emotionaly mentally evolved human being, its healthy to express those dark thoughts rather than lie to yourself that your the best because everyone can get beat. DMX revolutionized rap with his style. GDEP was also delving into the honest struggles and horrors of life. Biggie did it to on his first album, the line about trying to put carats in his daughters ears and trying to make money so she dont need a man were all relatable statements that hit people in their feels and made him a genius rapper.

Similar to X, Biggie expressed his depression on “Suicidal Thoughts” & was self deprecating ,calling himself “Fat black Ugly as ever” & making light of the fact that before fame “girls used to diss me,now they wanna kiss me”. DMX also utilized the common mental illness many suffered in the ghetto having Split personality /schizophrenia , DMX created an alternate shadow rap persona like Jeckyl and Hyde, expressed his darker side with this 2nd voice which sounded higher pitched & frantic. It was a genius artistic creation in rap creating a 2nd voice that he had conversations with, Ive hear anyone else do that.
X and BIG let the listener know they had mentalities more in common with the regular struggling street guy than the ego driven boastful rappers who always had to tell you how great they were. This is what made them special and why people carry them closer to their hearts because they feel they really know them more.

He could’ve resurfaced back in the early 2000’s on the mixtape circuit! Cause 50 cent made mixtapes a popular thing! Without 50 nobody would even bother doing mixtapes going hard on it! DMXs Spellbound was better tho.. and K Solo spelled "bird" wrong in EPMDs Knick Knack so pointing out a misspell isnt a solid case in his favor. The message I'm getting is Solo can beat everyone in a fight and a rap battle. 😄
