Theft happens no matter how well you protect things sadly. We recently had 2 systems stolen from ours. Totally changed how we place systems.
One thing I’d offer for a tip is that I like to bag all my games in dvd and blu ray bags. It looks nice and keeps some loose disc losses. It also helps with books we carry to decrease folks coming in and using the booth as a library.

I had a couple grand worth of stock stolen from my car trunk. Glad you got your stuff back. The security company never responded for video or any help. When I went to the police department they were aware of the lack of help from the security as they have many thefts from this location. Possible inside job. Lesson learned as soon as I buy it I list it and put in stock and not leave it in my car trunk.
Dang sorry to hear that! It's sad if it was an inside job. Hard to trust some people now days.
I’ve had a video game booth for a few years and one thing I’ve noticed is that stuff that is locked up sells WAY slower than something accessible. Having it locked up takes away the impulse buyer. Everyone’s technique is different but I just wanted to share what I’ve learned.

For games and other small things, consider taking a picture of the item close up, and printing a higher quality picture of the items and put that in the display case. Find a cheap safe or lock box and keep it in the back room somewhere? Just a thought.
There's not a back room to hid anything. Since this is a fleamarket what.ypu see is what you get. But I do know a few places that do that!
@@ArkansasPicker just a thought, I try to access all risk. I'm a reseller myself, mainly video games, other media, electronics old or new, and toys with a dash of antiques. I do my sourcing at yard sales, thrift stores, and fb market place and such. I only sell in person locally, yes it takes time to find a buyer for some things but that is the way I do it. Also I always meet the person in a neutral location such as a coffee shop or what not. I definitely don't need someone to put 2 and 2 together and figure they can break in and hit the jackpot.
Im sorry this happen to you but I will say you brought up a great point that all resellers who are or planning to sell through a booth type market to get your security up and make sure your stuff is safe. On the plus side I am glad you got a majority of your stuff back. Glad to hear you are in better spirits.

Shoulda watched this video before meeting you at the Tulsa show last weekend (I was the guy selling across from you with the manuals). Man talk about luck. I had my house robbed of a lot of gaming stuff about 20 years ago and it turned out to be my next door neighbor. The good news is, he sold it all to a local game store so I got almost everything back - the bad news was (thanks Oklahoma law) I had to actually buy my stuff back from the game store what they paid for it and then file a claim against the guy that stole my stuff. So it felt like I got robbed twice but I did get my stuff back - no, the courts never got me any money from the dude :(
Dude that is WILD. Luckily the detective just went and got my stuff for me.

Mount it to left wall(you would have to move the display case back a few inches) and would extend and lock onto right wall. Or do you have to leave it open at all times?
