WIN-WITH-U at the European Parliament: promoting access to employment for autistic people

WIN-WITH-U (Workplace Inclusion and employmeNt opportunities for youth WITH aUtism) is an Erasmus+ project started in 2020 to provide training to employers to support autistic people in their journey toward employment.
On 24 May, the WIN-WITH-U project was hosted at the European Parliament in Brussels by MEP Chiara Gemma (ECR, Italy), at the conference "Building Inclusive Education and Employment for Autistic People" organised by Autism-Europe as part of its #AutismDay2023 awareness-raising campaign.
WIN-WITH-U project’s background, objectives and results were presented by Professor Nunzio Casalino, from project’s coordinator LUISS Business School (Italy).
Professor Vincent Grimaldi de Puget, AE’s board member and Clinical Professor at the Université Grenoble Alpes (France), started the panel by sharing insights into the hiring practices for autistic people based on a comprehensive academic literature review.
Carsten Lassen, CEO from WIN-WITH-U project’s partner Specialisterne Danmark (Denmark), concluded the panel by presenting the work of his company facilitating employment for autistic people through job-coaching.
