Where to put the prusik? Building component based systems for lightweight technical rope rescue

  • Don't feel like hauling an MPD and 11m ropes on your back for mountain rescue? Then you're probably thinking about component based systems. But just throwing a few devices together does not create a safe rescue belay. Here are some design considerations for improvised lightweight rescue systems.
