Where to put the prusik? Building component based systems for lightweight technical rope rescue

Don't feel like hauling an MPD and 11m ropes on your back for mountain rescue? Then you're probably thinking about component based systems. But just throwing a few devices together does not create a safe rescue belay. Here are some design considerations for improvised lightweight rescue systems.
