Thanks for the vid! Tip on using the razor: just extend the first segment of the blade. They are designed to break off easily when they get dull. If you keep it fully extended, a large portion of the blade might break off when you don’t expect it to. Cheers!

Anyone should be able to do a standard cube in about 3 minutes, there are lots of good videos that show each stage. Just need to be patient and make sure you have cracked each stage before starting the next. Once you’ve cracked it, do it daily and then you won’t forget.

Not an actual scramble but just 6 moves and solved with the same six moves reversed, I could get the same time with this scramble and world pro cuber would be sub 1 second.

try disconnecting the cube, scrambling then reconnecting so it doesn't just do reverse scramble pattern

It would do it faster if it did not reverse scramble because all scrambles can be solved in twenty moves or less and a scramble can be a higher amount of moves. Still a good idea though
If you scramble with it disconnected it would have no way of knowing what the scramble is

It can’t do a reverse scramble pattern, because the machine can’t even rotate the top part. They had to design custom algorithms for this machine and also had to prove it was always solvable despite not rotating the top part.

it's pretty simple. just a few mini servos with encoders to measure the turns and some plastic injection
By watching tutorial video, pausing, going back and forward, and doing everything step by step, I solve rubik's cub in ~20-30 minutes 😁... My 9 years old son solvs in 63 seconds 🤯

Cool video. From observation i think that the cube can solve itself independent of the robot since the cube is powered. Place it on the table and it should still be able to solve itself, is this correct? Is the robot merely for holding the cube? If so, why is it also plugged into power?
I bought a cube two years ago, and tried hard on solving it- but I put it somewhere or smth and I lost it lol. Today after 2 years I bought a new cube and I can solve it. My record till now is 1.30 :)

don't think this is the world's fastest though, Ben Katz and Jared Di Carlo's robot did it in 0.38 seconds.
Not long ago I learnt how to solve a 3by3 and now my quickest time is 1:48
3*3 my quickest time is just 58 seconds
wonder what the machine would do if you manually scrambled it but turned one of the corners at some point
