I actually really like the texture on the phantom cube, it's very satisfying. The cube would be a lot better if it just responded to heat 100 times faster. When it's cold you can't solve it at all because it's all black, but once you heat it up enough to see the colours it stays coloured for more than enough time to solve the whole cube, even for a beginner cuber. If touching the cube with your fingers instantly revealed the colour under your fingers and it only lasted a few seconds then this would actually be a fun challenge

I just got the phantom yesterday, I like it as something different & really love how
Much faster it spins.. it is winter here in FL & actually a bit cold lately so it has not been too easy to get the colors to come out… except when the heat is on & blowing in my house… I just got the standard cube a couple months ago & am getting quite addicted, lol… so I really like this vid comparing models because I’m def feeling a collection coming on!

@CubeHead. Would you recommend any cube for me. I am looking for a new one my previous one was moyu rs3m 2020 and I forgot it lube it. I'm averaging about 40 secs. I don't know what cube I should buy. Budget $40. I'm thinking about gan 356 x v2 and gan 356 xs or Moyu weilong WR M 2021 mayby maglev version or tornado v3. Wich one choose and are worth it now.

I have a good story about that keychain cube. I actually lost my virginity because of it. My girlfriend in high school had one on her keychain and she was totally convinced that I wouldn’t be able to do it. I bet her that I could solve the cube before we finished walking home from school and she told me that if I actually did it, she’d do any one thing I asked. Little did she know, I’d been solving them since 6th grade. When I did the solve, obviously I didn’t just come right out and ask for what I really wanted. I asked for something else that led to my actual goal.
I can’t describe the story beyond that because it’s inappropriate, obviously. This toy has really been a big part of my life 😂
