This woman still had the voice after all those years, many, many singers with have problems with their voices, especially when touring from night to night. She always sung live she never beleived in lipsynching, she put her heart and soul into each song she sang. I KNOW SHE'S RESTING IN PEACE.
Every time she sings I love the lord, her voice comes alive. Reason why I think the Devil wanted her so bad, she was gifted and God gave her that gift to praise Him.
All of us know Whitney with his sharp and bright voice. Time passed she grew old , and treble are gone , but a serious and hoarse sound came , representing their pain and life experience. Came a new Whitney with a different voice , but at the same time hoarse and powerful. Miss you Whitney .

what ppl fail to realize ...whitney was sick in these tours....she was coughing and felt so bad she didn't back out and wasn't allowed to heal....that was so inhumane. but what's so amazing she really had some iconic vocal moments and notes through all of this. it's like it's ONLY GOD and HER VOICE!
What's the source of the information she was sick? She could be caughing because of hoarseness and just bc she was clearing her throat. And is it possible to be sick for years? She sounded similiar in 2011 as well as in 2008, 2009. I think you're wrong, sorry. The tour shouldn't have happened that early.
She wasn’t sick. The coughs were from Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Everyone who smokes more than 1 pack a day in > 10 years will eventually get that disease. It causes your bronchial tubes to be continuously inflammed and release sputum, especially in the morning. That explains why all her morning performances in that era are worse than night ones.
Yes indeed she was sick during these shows she got reptory infection and that's why she had to get on steroids for her voice she didn't want to cancel so she went out there sick and all.

This proves that Whitney still has it. I am so praying for Whitney. This woman has lost so much of her range and she is still able to get my standing on my feet. God is good! Whitney, I know you'll be back and stronger than ever.

People have many opinions regarding all of her other songs on this last tour...but she never ONE time missed on this one. She killed this every time she sang it. She really did love the Lord.

2019!! I'm still listening to Whitney💝💝💝I heard so many different versions of The Voice singing I Love The Lord. I love every version. Whitney is so compassionate and she never had a problem telling the world her love for the Lord. This one of my favorite gospel songs RIP Queen. They will never be another Whitney The Voice Houston.
She was also happiest, and at her best, singing gospel that she loved.
12-18 seconds was like time travel, she hadn't hit a note like that since the 90's. Just beautiful no crack in her voice... it was strong... confident... powerful and totally unexpected like the old Whitney
Thats not true, she hut multiple notes like that in the early to mid 2000s before her voice was like this in 2010. Also thats ya'll problem, that tour vocally was not bad at all. Especially the 09 dates like in Russia, she was still belting very well and her head voice was very strong. Probably the one thing that she could still do tbh. The only thing is you all expected her to sound like 90s whitney and that's very stupid.
@@samuelking9497 Those concerts in 2009 and 2010 were not vocally good. She was hoarse and couldn't even sing without a lot of effort and strain. She had no stamina and her voice was just shot. People didn't expect her to sing like her 30 year old self, but the fact that she barely had a voice at all is what made people criticize her.

@@skip031890 in comparison to the concerts Whitney did from 1994 to 1998, these are actually much MUCH better than those ones; specifically, the Taipei, Taiwan, Tokyo, South Africa are horrible when compared to Moscow Night 2 (2004), St. Petersburg (2004), Hong Kong (2004), Torino (2007), Moscow (obviously, 2009), Seoul (2010, Night 1 & 2).
Ya'll just love and fantasize about keeping singers "forever young," not knowing that will do nothing but DESTROY them in the process.

she showed up and sang to the best of her ability. what i love is this...for all the critics out there...eat some humble pie...she had problems...we all do! but she has been singing her guts out for all her life. and the pressure to do that...well..i would venture to say no one can even imagine...maybe Michael Jackson. but she got up and sang and sang for the Lord. no just once...but throughout her career. so those without sin...cast the first stone. That was beautiful, I do notice that out of her recent performances the one's where she is singing gospel she does better.
Just watched Rihanna singing at the height of his career "Say You, Say Me" and was a expeiência so frustrating ... She is young, is at its height and there is no voice, no soul, no delivery in your corner .. . Then I went back to that Whitney show, which has often been criticized for not being able to sing, and all I see here is that even in its worst days it was infinitely better than the singers we have today. I have an affection for Rihanna, but she could not touch the feet of Whintey. It can even be the darling of the music industry, but I think she should sit, watch and listen to Whitney and learn about delivery.

This makes me wonder, if her body and mind had just had the chance to get truly healthy and clean, how good she could have been once again because even in 2010 when so many people were saying she was "past it" there are still flashes of the old magic she had in decades prior. People seemed to actively enjoy ripping into her even when she was clearly unwell and I can't imagine how much that must have hurt. R.I.P Nippy, we will always love you!
