- Just because the layout's torn apart doesn't mean I can't build some structures for it! Join me for this little project, building a passenger shelter/flag stop for the Big Thunder area on my On30 Thunder Mesa Mining Company layout. This tiny shelter is just 12 scale feet long and is based on a similar structure from the popular 1960s TV show "Petticoat Junction!"
Thanks for watching, amigos!

Really cool model! Uncle Joe, Betty Jo, Bobby Jo, and Billie Jo. Would be proud!!
2:18 thanks for including that Illustrator shot! As a 3D modeler, I basically do what you do but on a computer, so old western town/railroad shots like those are kinda hard to find, but perfect when you do.
I kept looking for Willy E. Coyote and the Road-Runner. Outstanding layout and thanks for sharing!
Another great build. It is just the kind of building I need beside the track on my layout. Thanks for the idea.
Your design of and builds of structures are the greatest vids thanks for sharing.
I happened across this video. Beautiful work! What a treasure you are, sir. ❤
Welcome!
Enjoyable as always Dave. Thanks for this.
Very nice model from the Flag Stop. Best regards.
Great vidio, love that building, did a tribute to the Shady Rest hotel myself and had great fun doing it.Thanks for the morning coffee...
Always look forward to seeing your work, and you never disappoint.
Always enjoyable a new structure build!
Love how you layer thin laser stock to simulate real construction details, while also maximizing strength and simplifying construction.
Very nicely done, looks great and you make it look so easy!
Dear Dave, beautiful little flag stop. Especially love the way you did the uprights and their roof supports. Makes a lot of sense to indeed laminate it. First of all for the strength, secondly for the visual effect it creates with the roof supports being placed in the middle of the posts. Awesome little project. Apart from the larger ones like last week, those small ones are indeed what makes ‘our’ layouts shine. Cheerio
Pettycoat Junction proud. That really looks great. Thanks for sharing the fond memories with us.
GOD BLESS 🚂 💞 🚂 💞 🚂 💞
I really like that one.
From large to small, Thunder Mesa is beautiful and extensive. Very creative little structure.
Very cool flagstop. I remember that show always a fun one
Which show? I came in late.

AS ALWAYS GREAT😊
Nice build. I've always wanted to build one in 1:1 scale! In fact I have a collection of photos on my website!
Hi Dave, where did you source the 1/16 inch MDF and the .035 inch laser board? Enjoying your videos. Thanks.
