Update* Apparently the company behind Genshin Impact is HEAVILY censoring reviews, and users on their social media's. Only adds more that the Review Bombing (on their own game) is well deserved!

MiHoYo and mods on their oficial social medias deleted commentaries, banned users who made bad/negative comments about the situation and never gave one single word about the feedback of the player base made in months before: broken kits, unethical policies about char's kit and interactions with other chars, and yada yada yada. Now Google is already deleting 1* star reviews. It reached 1.9 in less than 24h.
But yeah, it's ridiculous how people is review bombing games that aren't Genshin. It's dumb. It's sad.
And it was a good thing like this to happen: I won't spend any money on the game anymore. Detox of gacha.

I've been playing Genshin F2P since launch and Mihoyo is generally very stingy on what they give out for free in Genshin. I wasn't really surprised at the anniversary, just thought "Well that sucks." I moved on with my life, but apparently some people have too much brainrot to do so.

Honestly, this whole review bombing thing is just awful, since they are targeting games and apps that are completely unrelated to Genshin, which can potentially lead to them getting removed from the app store, or make the devs of the other games getting affected get the wrong ideas about this. Mihoyo trying to remedy this via removing the negative reviews just makes them look dumb, but at the same time since the reviews are essentially spam/petty harassment it makes sense. And let's not get started on the fact that they're now harassing the English voice actors of GI.
Fucking hell...Look, I have seen many mobile game developers actually listen to their communities and look at data in thier games to understand what people want, what they should change, all of that stuff. I'm not sure how responsive Mihoyo usually is to the people playing their games (I do play Genshin quite a bit and I played a little bit of Honkai Impact, but I don't follow their fanbase that much), but it really feels like Genshin gets the short end of the stick in terms of responsiveness from what I read from the people I followed.
You don't need money to get them to answer, but this is definitely not the next best option, man.

Not only was it the lack of rewards but also the state of the game entirely with issues since release still not being fixed and the lack of silence they seemed to give for most of it the newest character also broke records in the lowest sales in Genshin
What, Kokomi? She looks like a decent character, but most people were disappointed for some reason.
@@crystalwings4520 she can’t crit without over investment in artifacts -100% crit rate for 25% healing bonus is awful in the testing she does 4000 on burst it’s like she doesn’t know what she wants to be she can’t crit so she shouldn’t be for dps but after she uses her ult her damage is boosted? Even her elemental skill does barely any damage for only a little bit of healing any other healer does what she does but better, Bennett’s heals with a big damage boost and Jean can put out good damage while healing it’s just she isn’t very great for a five star

The situation is totally different when I looked at Minecraft (Bedrock, especially). Like, Mojang gave some free maps or character customizations to players. Yeah, it's a paid game, unlike Genshin, but has IAP inside. At least Minecraft doesn't have lootbox thingy in it.
The good part of it, is that the devs actually listening to the players' feedbacks to get the game even more better. Just look how they made cave update into a real thing.
Side note: yeah, just like the other communities out there, there's a toxic side of Minecraft community.

Trouth is, genshins gacha system is bs, besides the caracters there are weapons and other equipments on the same banner so even the fact that you get a character is lucky.
Compared to that Arknights has the best gacha, guaranteed 5* on the first 10 pull and if you are really unlucky with the pulls you can get the 6* with 300 pulls. Even f2p can do that they just have to play the game to earn it. For the anniversary they are litterally giving you a free 5* of your choice plus another tons of stuff.
Even fgo that is famous of how bad their gacha is, gave a free 5* of your choice for the anniversary.
Azur lane makes great anniversarys. Thats because you can accualy create a banner for yourself and choose what 2 characters will be in it. They also give a shit ton of cubes (currency used for pulls)
@@xneri772 Yeah i haerd about azur lane being generous as well. I started playing alchemy stars at release and the devs are literally giving 23 pulls worth currency for 100 day anni and a new event.

Genshin really should of just given everyone a SSR character, and maybe some in game currency, maybe a pack with an increased SSR character rate so people would spend money on the increased chance character, this probably would of been a good idea, people could brag about the SSR character they got or promote everyone to go get an SSR character for the anniversery but we got this tragedy

Honestly a lot of this controversy wouldve been averted if they were generous in rewards for the f2p players. The pull rates is already rock bottom that even giving people 100$ of premium currency wouldn't do much in orogression

It's not even the anniversary rewards at this point it's silencing any negativity on their reddit and discord. Still no controller support after a whole year. Horrible writing. While good lore writing, the story and characters have been written terribly since the new Inazuma region especially the shitty 2.1 archon quest that was just a garbage. Very unrewarding and boring late game with slow progression. Still no dendro character after a whole year. Tedious boring cookie cutter events. And lastly a anniversary built around gacha that will give me a 10% chance at getting something good. What a slap in the face.
Their marketing team is the problem. The game is great and the music is good. It's just sad

I really fucking hate this game. Genshin Impact is just insufferably cliche, and none of the playable characters are interesting. I especially hate the modern trend that EVERY playable character and goodguy is required to look like a human, even if they're not SUPPOSED to be human. Even the cutesy mascot looks like a fucking human, and the cutesy mascot is the one archetype you can usually count on NOT LOOKING LIKE A HUMAN!

Genshin also made hashflags which are the hashtags but with an emoji at the end of it, and making these is not free at all. For at least one hashflag, it can cost up to one million dollars. Genshin created 41 hashflags for every single character in the game which is basically more than 41 million dollars used to make these hashflags.
It's a big misconception that the review bombing is just because of the anniversary rewards, in reality Genshin Impact had this coming.
Players have invested their time and money into Genshin supporting their game, through out all of this Genshin has refused to even listen to players for almost the entire year, their recent content has been dropping in quality, players are angry because Genshin has even been silencing them on other platforms taking away their ability to even speak their minds.
The shit they called anniversary rewards were just the final drop for players :/

Reviews are worthless. If you legitimately leave constructive criticism, to many times devs ignore or remove the reviews. Just stop leaving reviews period. Do what I do--write to the regulator in mainland China. They do a much better job. They've already crippled Azur Lane and others. They will do the same to this one in time.
Brig I started playing genshin recently, and it’s ok ig. I’m kinda torn because the only reason I got the game was to get Lisa, but apparently you get her like .02 seconds into the game, all the mfs in the shop are trash bruh 😭 they shoulda just dropped Lisa 2 for the anniversary smh
