In this episode, Jamie and I explore Loyalsock State Forest. Hidden deep within this vast swath of State Land, are some of the nations best swimming holes! Each one has a gorgeous waterfall and crystal blue water. There's also some epic scenic overlooks, and some of the best free camping in the state. But don't take my word for it, grab a Purple Lizard Map and go check out Loyalsock State Forest for yourself!
Camping for this and other PA State Forests MUST be done through this site: pennsylvaniastateparks.reserv...

I would love to go check this place out in the summer!
It’s a must!
That sure was some beautiful country John.👍👍
Thanks Dan, yes it sure is!
What's the closest cabins near swimming holes?
@SuperMomofseven I’m not sure, the closest town is Ralston. On the other side is Hillsgrove and Forksville
Nice!!
Good times!
Good stuff bro
Thanks dude!
Yeah😊
I think so 😎
What this waterfall name
They’re just called “upper falls, middle falls, lower falls” on Rock Run
Wondering, where exactly did you guys camp out? I thought about doing the same. I was just there last week and I saw signs that you can’t camp there, but read in a blog there’s certain spots close where you can. The park is so huge I wouldn’t even know where to begin to find an area I can pitch a tent for the night.
You'll need to reserve a site via Reserve America now pennsylvaniastateparks.reserveamerica.com/ the sites near Bear Wallow Pond are nice (we drove past there later in the video) but the falls are closer to Ralston. The sites are all pretty nice, but they close even numbered sites for 6 months and then the odd numbered sites are closed the other 6 months so for example if you went in May and again in August, you wouldn't be able to book the same site twice but you might be able to get a site adjacent to it and it's essentially the same. Kinda nice because you'll almost never have someone in a site right next to you but the sites are pretty spaced out anyway
Can someone tell me what the name of the park is? Thanks.
@@LizLh-ot4ug it’s in the description- Loyalsock State Forest
I was up there last weekend, temps in the 20s and 30s, I passed on swimming.
Soft! Haha, you’ll have to go back when it’s warm!
Ha, yeah, I wussed out!
Ice baths are the new thing right? Coulda hopped on that trend! Did you camp at all? Some really nice sites there but it's weird how the reservation works depending which season you're there
No camping, went fancy and stayed at Eagles Mere Inn for my bday!
Oooh nice! I’d love to take Mrs Dirt Road Therapy there sometime
