There are 300 products in the coffee recall. I think they are all the metal cans.
I really have to wonder how they can process that many different brands and no one notices there is a fault in the process.

For a few years I worked in a microchip plant. Our processes was applied and we had to check it under a microscope. We would have the blue prints out and had to orient the chip to match the prints before inspection could start. We had one batch come to us... about 60 chips. Each worth about $1k by that point in the process that had contents put on it backwards and WE found it after about 7 QA inspectors had signed off on it.

    Hi Danno & Everyone,
Pray over your meals and beverages. I myself sometimes forget. But now that I see more and more folks are all saying the same distressful events, we need to remember what The Good Book told us to do.
For those who do not know I will write it here.
    2 Chronicles 7:14-17 reads,
14 " If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
15 Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place.
16 For now have I chosen and sanctified this house, that my name may be there for ever: and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.
17 And as for thee, if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, and do according to all that I have commanded thee, and shalt observe my statutes and my judgments;"
    Stay prayered up.

Yes. No quality control before shipping out. No batch testing. People do not care about their jobs, they just care about their pay checks. My grandfather stayed with the same company for 30 years and was proud to be an employee and climbed the ladder. NOW... people don't stay with the same company, it doesn't pay to stay. You are just a number on a page to a company and you are replaceable. The companies can hire someone and pay them less then what they pay you. People do not care. That's the bottom line.

The least bit of air introduced (false seal) can introduce a perfect environment for botulism. That's why you MUST follow proper canning guidelines, both ar home and in a company.

this risk level rating is different. They will put a recall on a product then state the risk level. This reminds me after 9-11,how the would give a terrorism level of red , orange , yellow Many times the risk levels on the food is in the low range. Let's face it , there is a risk to everything. Maybe they are making people afraid to eat anything but the lab produced food, with crickets and such Fear is a powerful tool.

I went to a store yesterday I've only gone to a few times a year because I happened to notice their circular and needed several of the items. Healthy food choices but I've been seriously craving ice cream in this heat. Wanted ice cream sandwiches. Was shocked at their small ice cream selection. Since I don't shop there enough I didn't know if it was normal but they didn't have the sandwiches so I didn't try something else. Then yesterday afternoon I noticed a headline and looked it up. Sure enough, ice cream recalls for listeria on multiple products! I was thinking of going to my usual Wolly World today to get the Great Value Sandwiches I always get but didn't have the energy and didn't want to be depressed if their shelves were looking too empty. Bummed! Freaking hot summer time and they are messing with our ice cream:(

The bacteria that make the botulism spores can be found in soil. It’s possible the contamination occurred at harvest. It would be interesting to learn where they found the contamination. Was it from testing a can of coffee or did they find it in a batch of coffee beans before they were processed?
Scary how we seem to be seeing more and more food recalls.

Botulism issue: if you read the whole article/news release on this, you'll see that it's not the ingredients going in the can that's the issue. It's the way they've processed the cans. Botulism grows in all products that touch soil. So if the temperature in the canning process or the acidity isn't high to kill the spores, the potential for growth is there. The key word in the whole article is "potential".

But we have veggies growing, strawberry patch, blackberry, raspberry and blueberry bushes. Red Grapes and concord grapes. We have chickens too. We increase what we have for food every year and we make all of our meals and snacks at home from scratch. It really is heart breaking to read what is happening to our USA 🇺🇸
