In 2014 we exposed the concealment of a deadly defect that General Motors kept hidden since 2002. That defect killed my daughter in 2005 and many after. My top goal was to make the cost of not recalling so expensive that GM will think twice about doing that again. That ignition switch recall shown at minute 14:30 suggests we may have hit that goal.

Hehe, my sister had an Easy Bake Oven way back in the 80's when we grew up. Suffice to say, it did predict the future. Somehow, she always managed to burn everything she put in there. I have no idea how either. But, usually I could tell if she was using it as I'd smell burnt cookies or cakes. And she still can't cook at all or even make food. Our mother makes a really good item called 'Spaghetti Salad,' which is basically cooked spaghetti, russian dressing, tomatoes, cucumbers, green peppers, and red onions. It's really good and easy to make. Somehow she managed to make it into this mess of noodle mush with soggy vegetables, and the mush had absorbed all the dressing.

We never cashed the check. Our Toyota Camry was recalled for the gas pedal, visors (twice) one still won't work & dashboard. I bought a Note 7 for my (now) ex-wife for her birthday. She LOVED it. Zero issues. Then the initial trade-in recall hit, so she traded it in for her replacement. That one didn't work as well and seemed as if there might be a battery issue with it at times (occasionally lightly buzzing and getting hot while charging, etc.). Then an OTA update was pushed saying the phone was going to be bricked within 60 days, so I ordered a Pixel to replace it. This was when the original Pixel was incredibly backordered, so 5 days before the phone was going to be auto-bricked and still not ETA for the Pixel, we replaced it with a LG V20 (barf).
The Verizon store wouldn't even take the phone, and we were provided a triple-layered/insulated box to ship the phone back.

My dad does business in China, going about four times a year before the pandemic. During the baby formula problem and for almost two years afterwards he would bring almost a full extra large suitcase stuffed with American baby formula for business associates as well as their family and friend who had babies. You have to remember in certain parts of China they still upheld the one child law, so your baby was all you had for a child. Well at that time they were pushing for breaking that law for the entire country and I do believe it has been broken to where you can have at least two children. Again I think.

Major recalls on brand names and/or expensive products got lots of media attention and a swift corporate response. The overwhelming majority of recalled products don’t, and it’s because they’re the $1 bin items.
