So funny that Pottery Barn and Restoration Hardware are considered "high end." Their mass market merchandise consists of goods from overseas as one also finds at Home Goods and other big retailers. Support your local crafts people and artisans for unusual and one-of-a kind pieces!
That and thrift stores. I have found all sorts of cool things at thrift stores.

You could spray that gold lampshade with a texturizing treatment that looks sort of like cement
I've wanted to use textured spray paint on several projects, but was turned off by the high price as well as reviews that said the paint would clog the nozzle. I would need several cans of paint and that coupled with the frustration factor, leads me to believe I'd be better off buying a more epensive vase, already textured. Something like the beautiful one Kiva looked at in this video.
Kiva, I love that your focus here was the same look for less. So many look online at the high end stores and are sad that they won’t be able to create a similar look. You prove that wrong every week. Thank you also that you also equally stress Quality!
I've learned so much watching your content! I recently (two weeks ago) had brain surgery and redecorated my apartment before the procedure. Kiva I just went to Home Goods this week and found so many lovely things! I was shopping form some necessities, so I really couldn't splurge on any decor items, but I did give the store the once over treatment, so I'll be retuning for a few goodies soon. I love my Homegoods. I have 4 in my area! Just got two travertine bowls on short pedestals that are reminiscent of RH. Love them so much!

Thank you for a terrific video. I m obsessed with Home Goods. For several years I would need to travel by subway over an hour to shop at the only one in NYC. Luckily one opened in Brooklyn a few years ago. I will be patronizing that store in a few weeks for spring/summer inspiration. 😊
Carpets definitely, for living rooms, mine is 20 ft x 40 ft. Looking for white, off-white, creams, and beige. Thick-medium low pile. soft, simple, barely there, muted patterns, would be nice to see. No fringe. Heavy backing. Thanks so much. Love your content, first-time subscriber.

Hello Kiva, another great video. Honestly at first I wasn't gonna watch this one because I'm trying to prevent my home from becoming a catalog clone. But I really enjoyed the comparisons. My favorite dupe was the travertine lamps. They were awesome for only $30!!! And seriously, who is ever going to pick them up and be like - "mmmm mmmmm, these are hollow... Right!? 😅

FYI , please look carefully at HomeGoods lamps, 3 times now I have attempted to purchase a pair of lamps for my bedroom. Wobbly, shades are slightly different, mismatched finials etc. They are parsimonious. But better to spend a little more and have good quality. I’m rambling. KB I love your style. Our homes look very similar.

My dumb butt, paid 15.00 each for wine glasses during my ZGallerie days, because they were so beautiful . I found some much later at Home Goods, they weren't exactly the same ; but they were pretty.

I guess we need to take a road trip to Home Goods. I need new bedroom lamps. I bought the touch lamps. And I do not like them. I always end up bumping the one on my nightstand. And it comes on really low. But I have to keep touching it until it goes off. My husband sleeps through it. But they are stupid. And I need new lamps. And while m there, since I haven’t been since we moved three years ago. I’ll be checking out a lot of things.
What is shagreen? A type of fabric?
It’s actually aquatic (fish) skin - so think shark/stingray/dogfish etc. To be honest so many places do faux shagreen these days which looks as ‘good’ (if that is your cup of tea) and that is obviously much less damaging to fish and the aquatic ecosystem.

I think a small mouth vase is sexy, but not fifty bucks sexier. Your finds are definitely a better choice as far as bang for your buck.
