    Hey Jon, thanks for the shout out.
    Personally, i used a very thin piece of plastic that filled the whole width of the mudgard holder. It was a PITA to cut to fit, but it wont bulge and it even close the small cuts under the motor cable. Not sure how well the rectancular piece you siliconed in place will hold though 😮.
    I can send you pictures of how mine looks like.

    • @jonoeuc
      @jonoeuc  Před rokem

      Hey Matt, yeah send pics! I was looking to place the plastic across the entire face. It appeared the suspension was slightly recessed into that channel and that's why I inset it.
      True! I figure it may fall out but decided it wouldn't cause a crash etc so I'd try that position.
      Cheers

    Thanks Jon, for me the best and most thorough review I've seen yet on any euc! Although still quite a few nasty negatives, you finally convinced me to step over from my v11 to sherman S! Thanks again for the hard work and time you put into this video. 👍

      wow that's awesome! Something I left out is that the ShermS encourages faster riding since the ShermS at 50kmh feels like 30kmh on the V11.

    got all answers on the sherman S , of any question i would have in mind. Just like to mention one, charging is very loud, and i can't charge such a wheel, in my tiny appartment of 10 meter square in paris. Maybe i could change part of the charger to make it less loud, but that is sad, just to think i will have to do that on day one, after paying more then 4000 Euros. Just an example of how detailed this video is 👍, because Jon let you hear the noise of the charger. Now i know it would be unbearable. Other then that as espected the Sherman S is an outstanding wheel. Now i need to look for a new flat 😄
    Thanks much Jon, outstanding job.

    I have V13 and Sherman S I love Sherman S the most .... V13 have range problem but is very stable a high speeds. Sherman S is the winner since its a fun generator with amazing acceleration. Sherman S is more versatile, more practical and more fum than the V13 . If you want to go fast as hell on roads V13 is clearly better. Slow riding V13 is not good - its a speedy wheel. I remember how my SHerman OG rim selfdestructed so Im a little carefull with stairs. Sherman S seat is a yoga block. Try using both grabhandles for seated riding when you want to accellerate og decellerate For emergency braking stand up first then brake... Just my 2 c... Thx for nice video. I hope rain will not kill the bearings like it did on kingsong s22.

    • @jonoeuc
      @jonoeuc  Před rokem +1

      Oh nice comparison. Is the V13 slimmer and more ergonomic around the top of the shell?
      haha wild 2 handed acceleration! I have toyed with that idea but have a mental block because it seems sketchy!
      yea I definitely stand with grab handle for harder braking.
      The bearings have a good chance with the grease and covers. Should hold up.
      Cheers!

    • @FinnBjerke
      @FinnBjerke Před 10 měsíci

      @@jonoeuc Ergonomic is a laff really; I only ride V13 in seated position - its so bloody heavy I get lower back problems if I stand up too much of the riding time. V13 can easily and comfortably do 80 kmh and be stable, Sherman S is not builld for that kind of speed I find. I love all my wheels except the Kingsong s22. Inmotion V11 for ch8ill rides - Sherman S for off roading and longer trips. V13 for fast as hell road riding. The best of em is def Sherman S.

  • @stevemb0
    @stevemb0 Před rokem +3

    If the Sherman S doesn’t have enough power for you now not many options. Patton, smaller wheel less stable at speed, range and top speed, V13 heavier, range, can be difficult to excess power, EX30 ticks many boxes but quality, reliability, safety - new wheel though and meant to be a step in the right direction. I went the same route, V11 to Sherman S but only have a fraction of your mileage so power plenty for me. Plus the suspension is no work and superb. Great, detailed review👍

    • @jonoeuc
      @jonoeuc  Před rokem +1

      Thanks Steve, spot on. What i'm wondering is if the ShermS was 126V would that pretty much be the perfect package. By increasing the responsiveness and ability to brake and accelerate.

    I now have 2200 miles on my ShermanS, i donated my V8s & V11 to a family in Tenn sense i can't see myself riding something slower should i ever need the extra power and speed. At 250lbs i regularly get 70 miles to a charge doing a mix of high speed 40+ and normal riding. I use my bluetooth earbuds to hear the beeps in my helmet using the EUC WORLD APP. I do wish for at least a 126v sherman as i have seen the 134v Commander Pro is the same in all other respects to the SS, but i can live with what i have as my demands for more power is not that often. The Sur-ron seat with the front cut off to view the screen offers the best most comfortable seated riding experience. In EUC World app set battery percent in alarms to 20% so after the battery has given you 80% of it capacity you'll get beep when you're in the last 20%. THIS IS A GREAT VIDEO AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR HARD WORK MAKING IT!! 😃

      @jonpurcell6838 it's going great. I was anticipating a weigh adjustment but I was still put off a bit by it. Took only a handful of miles to get acclimated though. I feel much more stable at speed now which is what I was looking for so I'm happy there. I think I could use just a tad more low down torque for slower maneuvering but I'm happy overall. I went with the k340a street rire and it has a strong gyro at about 20mph+. It doesn't lean much in the turns so it does require body/knee shifting.

    Great review Jon! You are right up there with my fav wheel reviewers mate. I've got a few questions for you as I'm tossing up between the Sherman S and Patton. Have you tried the Patton yet? And if you have have you noticed more torque control with it braking and accelerating? Looking forward to your views on the EX30 too. Hi from NZ btw. Your kiwi fan :)

    • @jonoeuc
      @jonoeuc  Před 4 měsíci

      lol yea wandering. It's when the EUC starts to turn and move in direction that I'm not expecting. It is extremely unnerving since it typically happened at high speed. I have since realised why. It was when my tyre pressure was too high (35psi). If I held the camera and selfie stick to the side the extra wind resistance pulls the wheel around.

I’m seriously considering the Sherman-S for my next wheel, but I’m going to see how things shake out over the rest of this year. I’ve heard a lot of people say that they feel like the Sherman-S is ALMOST there (not that any other wheel is THERE), but if I’m investing $4000 in an EUC, I don’t want to have to do much to it.

      Hi Gzo, yes it's a great move but depends on your use case. The V11 is very capable but not suited for road riding. The ShermS is far better at road riding but not quite fast enough for 80kmh roads if that's your goal? I use it for fun transport and stick to back roads and bike paths.
      In some ways the V11 is more fun at slower speeds since it is so light and nimble.

    Outstanding review. I guess I’ll say that my gearing is depending on speed/condition, not what I ride. My fast wheel is an EXN, but if I’m just bipping off at 25 mph or less to the store, helmet and wrist guards are it. I’d gear up more if I were doing something slower off road, and I’d also gear up more if I expected to be faster than 30 mph. I think there’s something to be said for not being mega geared, as I’m the only EUC rider I have ever seen, and there’s some value for people thinking it’s not crazy. For utility runs on roads, I’m not worried about crashing.
